We stayed in the "family" room that consisted of a canopy queen bed and two twin beds. So roomy and clean, the bathroom had TWO sinks and the shower was fantastic. 100 yards from the Ponte Vecchio, and you absolutely MUST have a drink at the rooftop bar! Excellent stay, would highly recommend for families looking for reasonable but nice...

my son and I checked in and reserved 2 beds. Got a room in the new wing which had a broken, running toilet. The on desk manager wanted us to stay there. Then we were told there were no more room, but maybe they could get us a room with a single bed. My son and i had to transfer...

We stayed here 2 nights as part of a Rick Steves tour group. The hotel is beautiful and in a great central location. It was a step back in time with loads of charm and character. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The rooftop patio is worth the climb for the amazing view of Florence. The staff were friendly...

This hotel is in an ancient tower and it has many stairs between floors. There is an elevator, but it's very small and can only hold about two people with luggage. The breakfast area is on the 3rd floor and can quickly become crowded when a tour group is staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious but not very...

Great location: 1 min walk to Ponte Vecchio/Vasari Corridor, 3 minutes to Palazzo Vecchio, 5 mins to the Duomo, 10-15 min to train station. View from the hotel: The hotel has a rooftop deck/terrace that is one of the highest in the city, with stunning views of the river, the duomo dome, bell tower and palazzo Vecchio. The rooms: we...

Found this gem on Trip Advisor. Lots of character and charm and that describes Luigi, who greeted us, as well as the hotel. Some complained that some rooms did not have showers-- we emailed and requested one after booking and found that the bathroom had been nicely renovated. Comfortable, spacious, quiet room for 4 of us was extremely reasonable in...

The rooms are a bit dated though perfectly comfortable for a short stay. The location is excellent and there is a wonderful trattoria one street over. Breakfast was a bit limited and service not the friendliest.

Torre guelfa is in a great location near the centre of Florence about two minutes walk from ponte vecchio. The room was nice and spacious and the breakfast was good. I loved the tower and communal sittingroom area it was really beautiful. I found the place a bit too warm at times, I suppose the heat has to be going...

We stayed in this hotel in October 2016 for a 3 night city break. It is right in the centre of Florence. It is a very old building and has managed to retain a very rustic charm. It is definitely a hotel for couples. The rooms are full of character and you feel as though you've stepped back from the...
