My Wife and I spent eight days at Il Guelfo Bianco during the month of May 2012, and had a smashing time. We had a junior suite room which was spacious and comfortable. The bath for a European hotel was quite large. The breakfasts were...More

This hotel has a great location. The Duomo is a short walk away. We really liked this hotel with a great breakfast room. I would highly recommend this hotel for exploring Florence and its beautiful art and leather stores.
Lovely hotel conveniently located with a wonderful staff. The room, with all amenities as promised was spacious and clean. Staff was on hand 24/7 , which was wonderful especially if there were questions about early train connections and trips. Breakfast was fresh everyday and coffee...More

During my many stays at the hotel I've seen someone at the front desk at all times, day & night, and they are right next to/have a clear line of sight to the entrance. Taxi fares from the airport to Florence are fixed rate, thinking it was around 22 euros plus 1 Euro for each bag. Might be a little extra for late night/holiday trips. Be sure to let the hotel know about your expected late arrival.

Sorry I missed this question. There is one but for our room there were still about 7 stairs up to our door so if stairs are a concern be sure to email the hotel to ask for a room that is accessible only by elevator. :)
