On a bit of a budget we found the hotel on tripadvisor. After a long train ride the walk to the hotel was not too long - about 15 minutes, but our hearts sank at the unlovely streets. However the welcome was warm and hotel breakfasts (not an italian strongpoint!) were excellent and as we walked back into the town...

We have been travelling to Florence for more than 30 years and have visited at least once and often twice a year. We have stayed at accomodations from modest 2 star to 5 star luxury hotels. Several years ago, we stayed at the #1 ranked Hotel Davanzati. We thought the room, the staff, the servce and the location was the...

We were a large party and only one family not perfectly happy with their room (only ones on the first floor). Rooms lovely and very individual, quiet, hotel perfectly located, service warm and friendly, breakfast very nice. Bathrooms were very nice, and beds comfortable. All the rooms were just lovely and for Europe, spacious for a couple, some triples a...

This hotel is wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is great: just a few minutes from the Accademia, and not far from The Duomo and Uffizi. The rooms we had -- a triple and a quad -- were gorgeous. Ours had a fabulous fresco painted across the enormous ceiling, beautiful furnishings, and a spacious, lovely bathroom....

That was our third visit to Florence. We stayed at two different hotels before, this time we spent 3 nights at the Hotel Guelfo Bianco, we liked the hotel very much. The Hotel occupies an entire florentine building. It is elegantly decorated and furnished. We had a superior room, which was very big. The bathroom is also good size with...

From the moment we arrived (and were reassured that it was okay to double park on Via Cavour until the garage picked up the car) the staff at IGB was friendly, courteous and helpful and soothed the stress of arriving in Florence by rental car. Our room was very spacious, perfectly clean and immediately ready, with two large triple glazed...

We stayed for 2 nights in Nov 2011. This hotel is within easy walking distant to the major attractions in Florence. Our room was spacious and clean. I sure wish there was a shower curtain or glass door on the shower because the water got all over the bathroom floor. Good breakfast. The staff was helpful, even kept our bags...

I use a wheelchair and couldn't ask for a more wheelchair accessible hotel. The bathroom was completely wheelchair friendly and they also have an accessible public washroom. The breakfast was great and could find no fault in any service. Will definitely stay at Il Guelfo Bianco next time I'm in Florence.

Stayed several nights here with friends while visiting Florence. This hotel is so cute with a very "homey" feel. As another reviewer explained, all the rooms are unique and furnished with such charm. This hotel is centrally located and is walking distance to the train station, restaurants, museums, the street market, and just about anything you would want to visit...

All rooms are different in size and position - executive rooms have a standard size - superior rooms are larger - de luxe and junior suite are very large with a sitting area.
