We stayed here at Hotel Pitti Palace and found the stay to be wonderful. We checked in early and the staff had our room ready. Our concierge gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner - the best restaurant and food we tasted in Italy! Room was luxurious, clean, nice and we loved the balcony. Amazing breakfast buffet with helpful staff. Stay...

The royal apartments were beautiful and the art collection was very impressive. The Boboli Gardens were also very lovely. We did not tour the modern art gallery. I was disappointed in the costume museum though. It was very limited. There were several computers at the end of the exhibit for people to research a topic related to clothing and that...

Once again, the staff at the Hotel Pitti Palace provided a home away from home in beautiful Firenze. The location itself is magical, at the southern foot o f the Ponte Vecchio and steps away from the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, Spirito Santo, Carmine, the Uffizi, and the best gelato at La Strega Nocciola. The views from the breakfast...

We staid for four nights around easter which of course was expensive but the location, comfort and cleanliness of the hotel made up for this. The two cats added to the experience and was much appreciated by our children. The hotel was quiet and beds where good. The breakfast was however a dissapointment. Very limited choices except for cakes and...

A couple of friends and I decided to wander up to the rooftop terrace at this hotel. We weren't disappointed! The views were breathtaking, and we were looked after like royalty. We ordered the cheese platter and a few bottles of their Tuscan red. The cheeses were perfectly paired, and the waiter helped us pick accordingly. It was a chilled...

Not a trendy hotel, not my type but we stayed here for 2 nights. Again, we got a nice enough room, 5th floor with a veranda facing Borgo San jacopo street. It was noisy at night, no air-conditioning yet for the season so we had to open the windows. At 2 am I was woken up by more noise and...

I chose this hotel primarily due to its location just off the Ponte Vecchio and it didn't disappoint. It really is superbly located for the tourist sites - the Uffizi, Duomo, Pitti Palace and old palace are all a short walk away. The train station is a short walk if you check the map and know where you're going and...

We chose this hotel thanks to a recommendation from a friend - good value and great location were her comments. We were not let down, the hotel is over the road from the Ponte Vecchio, so right in the centre, with all the other sights within easy reach. Our room was simple but spacious, and overlooking the bridge - absolutely...

I stayed at this hotel with my mother for four nights. We were greeted warmly on arrival and given room 104 on the first floor, which overlooked the street below. The street noise soon died down at night. The room was so clean and although small, had everything one would need for a short stay. The buffet breakfast was served...

The palace is lovely, beautiful collection and has a lovely garden. You should go out in the "side door" after walk around the garden. Good if you have kids as they can easily walk around free. I recommend.

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
