Stayed at this historic picturesque 26 room palace back in Oct 2011 with my daughter. Set upon a hill and within walking distance to Florence.(I had a foot problem at the time and I managed.) Or take the bus which stops right out front. The room was lovely and spacious, the largest we stayed in during our Italy trip. They... More

We found this hotel through reviews on Trip Advisor and it was just perfect. We were late arriving but the staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a wonderful day of sightseeing using the bus and in the evening the hotel receptionist recommended a great restaurant within walking distance. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with good coffee!... More

This was a terrific little hotel. If you want something quiet and away from the bustle of Florence then this could be perfect. It is a bit of an uphill climb from the center of town, but we thought this unpretentious property was worth it. Breakfast was ok but not great. Staff was friendly and accomodationg

The gardens are beautiful and the location pretty good- it took us a 20 minute walk to get to the Duomo. VERY nice staff, helpful. The room that we had was on the top floor and very large with a beautiful view over the countryside. Our friend stayed in the Alcove room which was awful-small and smelly. They could do... More

Formerly a private villa, grand but not opulent, and just minutes beyond the city wall, you are in a beautiful garden setting and can walk among the flowers or swim in the pool or relax in the lovely livivg room with its huge period fireplace. The staff is truly helpful, anxious to solve problems and offer suggestions. Our room with... More

Lovely hotel with helpful staff minutes from the centre of Florence. Bus stop right outside. Great restaurant and terrace overlooking the garden and pool. Lovely rooms and meals. We were amused by the Tuscan bread and tomatoe soup but won't spoil it for you.

The hotel is nestled away from the busy downtown area in a lovely area with umbrella pines and large palatial homes. It is a nice little island of quiet and relaxation compared to the overpacked downtown area. Yet it is conveniently located on the 12 and 13 bus lines to/from the train station which makes it easily accessible. The pool... More

We loved the building, setting and design of this beautiful mansion hotel. The pool was refreshing and relaxing on the loungers under the trees you had no idea you were within 20min walk of central Florence (via an ancient cobbled street dotted with villas and trees). We had two garden view rooms in the main house (what views, over olive... More
