I travelled with my entire family, we planned the trip for over a year. We are well rounded travellers and have been to many places in Europe but this was far the worst experience in hotel and service. The rooms that we received were surrounded by a school of children; we never imagined that the hotel would allow unchaperoned children...

Great welcome that set the tone for a fabulous stay. Super staff who could not do too much for us. We were upgraded to a small suite and had the sheets changed every 2 days.....cleanest room we have ever stayed in with a beautiful shower. Breakfast was great too, lots of choice. Would definitely recommend the location too - just...

We booked a multi-city rail trip of Italy (Rome, Florence and Venice) through Gate 1 Travel after having a great experience with them on a London and Paris trip in 2007. The price for the trip was unbelievably good so I had braced myself for budget accommodations, but all three of the hotels were stellar, especially the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo....

Perfect spacy room, good breakfast, they are located at liver side. It's one of the best Italian hotels we stayed at, considering the fact that we are travelling a lot all around the country.

My sister and I stayed in this hotel after changing our original plans to stay in Pisa and we were so glad we did! From the minute we walked in to the minute we left we had a fantastic time. After reading reviews from other travellers, my sister and I cancelled a hotel we had already booked in Pisa and decided on the Meditteraneo and we are so pleased that we did. From the moment we arrived we had exemplary service from reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff. Politeness and exceedingly helpful in every aspect. The modern rooms were spotlessly...

We went to Florence as we are getting married there this year and we needed to locate a hotel and reception for the day. We arrived very late at 11pm after a long day travelling we were not even met with a friendly smile Claudio who served us at check in was the rudest person he merely ordered "passports" at...

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Mediterraneo and found it to be very comfortable, nice ameniites including restaurant (bit pricey), cafe (excellent food) and bar, internet, concierge, and a friendly staff. The location, while just outside the core of Florence, is along the river and within easy walking distance of all sights. We had the best meal of a...

This hotel was the worst place I have ever stayed at. The pictures on the website seem amazing but the rooms they pictured were definitely not the ones we stayed in. My family and I were sent to the lower wing, which was basically a confusing maze of a building that they made into horrible hotel rooms. The room had...

My wife & I stayed 3 nights at this hotel last week. Took about 30 mins to walk from the S.M. train station lugging a suitcase. We booked direct via their website, and got a room on the top floor which we requested. Great views over the Arno to the hills, superb superkingsize bed, and a decent bathroom with tub,...
