Great room (superior) overlooking the Duomo. Very convenient for the sights and action, En-suite. Very good staff. A discount voucher is provided for breakfast. Coffee kettle and croissant provided in the room. Free wifi. Large number of stairs but that's normal for a period property.

First off, amazing staff! We checked in late, after office hours, but because everything was so organised, we were able to get in without any problems. We were also allowed to leave our luggage with the staff after checking out since our train was only in the evening and we wanted to spend the day exploring. The location of this...

We stayed three nights here, and it worked well for us. The location could not be better, and the low key "tenement close" entrance definitely adds to the romance ( as for us did the three flights of stairs to the rooms). Lots of good restaurants on the doorstep, and the fabulous Mercato Centrale a few minutes walk away make...

This was our first trip to Florence and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The B&B was fantastic and in an excellent location - 30 seconds away from the Duomo, Bell Tower and Baptistry and within walking distance of everything you could possibly want to see. Amazing value for money and such good quality. Mandy...

Great place, could not be better located for investigating Florence, excellent breakfast and very professional staff. You really feel like living in a Palazzo. Easy access to the apartments no matter how late you arrive.

This hotel has an excellent location, a block away from the Duomo. We had the biggest room available and was really clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful giving us tips on where to visit and eat. They have arrangements with restaurants nearby and they will give you a coupon with a discount. They store your luggage after the...

We stayed just one night in this lovely small hotel. Beautiful beams in this charming hotel. Great location, safe area, and very nice staff. Clean and charming hotel and would have stayed longer if we could have. There were 2 adults and 3 kids and it was perfect for our 1 night stay. There is a separate bedroom and living...

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
