Very disappointed by this hotel. The room and bathroom were clean but the rugs in the bedroom were filthy. Staff were friendly and helpful enough. The breakfast was very basic but there was certainly plenty of it. The location of Liberty was perfect as It was a 10 minute walk to the centre of the city. I certainly wouldn't bother...

Great hotel for a decent price in a fabulous city! We booked last minute and were very happy. The front desk is a bit grouchy, but otherwise we have no complaints! We are definitely returning in the near future!

This hotel is ideal if you have a car. Like others have said, there is free parking across the street from the hotel where many other cars are parked. The parking in the hotel isn't really worth the extra money. We parked the car across the street and took either public transport or taxi for the rest of the time...

First of all thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in our hotel and we are looking forward to having you here in our hotel next time :) It's a pity you couldn't use the jacuzzi since it was not working for some days, we apologize for that and hope next time everything will be...

Lovely hotel and super friendly/helpful staff. Room was large and comfortable. Continental breakfast is slightly limited but ample. The setting is great if you don't mind walking. It's about a 20min walk into the centre......but only 10mins to the Piazzale Michelangelo where you get an amazing view over Florence. There are a few nice restaurants, bar and cafes within 5...

I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. We have been there in the middle of October and it was cold. They told us that they can not provide heaters because they have no such. And they are waiting for central heating system to start. The windows shutters did not open ate all and in rooms was very dark all...

Sept 2012. We stayed here for 4 nights. This is not a modern hotel but its charm lay in being old fashioned and maybe a bit tired in places, but we couldn't fault it. The room was clean, the beds were clean and comfortable, the decor quirky, but that's part of its charm. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast...

Booked this hotel after reading some good reviews on here, but after booking read some not so good reviews and so was a little concerned. However, pleasantly surprised. This hotel was, as already said, about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Florence, along a tree lined street which was busy with traffic early morning and evening, however none of...

Basic rooms that are a little tired but adequate. Beds are a bit soft and springy. Free parking is located across the road from the hotel and may look a bit dodgy at night, but the hotel seems to be located in a good neighborhood. 25 mins walk to the centre of Florence. Free wifi. Service at reception can be...

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!

“We had a room at the rear corner of the hotel and all the smokers congregated outside our window at a designated smoking area, which was annoying. So we did not want to open our windows.”

“As it was a traditional family house, so better stay in the former main room, wich has more space and facilities...but all the rooms seemed ok to me, after giving a quick look on them.”

“One of the room on the last floor has a funny balcony which is like a walk-in closet without roof. if allows light and fresh air in the room, but lack views. It has chairs and small table which is convenient if you smoke. But if you don't you might want to ask for other room with window instead of balcony.”
