This hotel surpassed expectations. All I was really expecting was a basic room in which to put my stuff and sleep, however, we were very pleased to find that the room was a good size, plenty of hanging space for the clothes and drawers for all our nic naks. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the shower was lovely....

No surprises from trip advisor reviews. Great location, very nice rooms and not what you would expect from a Best Western. They were having some issues with the wifi during my stay.

Situated in the centre of Florence, two minutes from the Duomo. The Laurus is a comfortable 4* hotel on seven floors, with the breakfast room, bar having a rooftop terrace with a view of the cathedral. I was slightly concerned that the hotel might be a bit noisy, being so close to a busy square and church bells but it...

I'm so glad I chose this hotel for our trip to Florence. The location was just perfect, only about 100yards from the Duomo! Also, as the centre of Florence is small, the train station is only about 5 mins away in the other direction. (Getting the train to and from Pisa airport is easy and convenient - don't bother with...

This hotel was a real find. Normally hotel rooms in Italy are smaller than the ones you would find in the UK - but not this one. The room was large, clean, modern and the room overlooked the main street at the heart of everything - but no worries about noise - the double glazing was excellent, as was the...

2 adults and 10 years old child. We came from Moscow, Russia and Melbourne, Australia and stayed 3 nights. Awesome hotel. Great service. Fantastic location. Wonderfull breakfast served on the terrace with magical view on Duomo and Giotto's Campanile. Out of four hotels we stayed on our Italian trip this one was the best. Internet was ADSL - speed and...

Hi Just returned from a trip to Italy. We stayed at Hotel Laurus for three nights which we booked after reading T.A. reviews. It is indeed a lovely hotel in a wonderful city. The location is excellent and this was very important in the August heat as we found it easy to pop back to the hotel during the day...

I can only echo the comments of so many other reviewers. GREAT location, easy walking distance from train station and easy to find. Short walk to most of the key tourist destinations, although you'll need to take a city bus to visit the Piazza Michelangelo. (Definitely do this - best view of the city you will find!) Our room had...

My husband and I just wrapped our honeymoon. Our first time in Italy and Florence. The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and met all of our needs big and small. Rooms are soundproof and very private. Great location for seeing museums, walking to the train station and downtown shopping. Would definitely stay again.
