First of all, this hotel is top notch on so many levels I don't even know where to start. It's built inside a tower that dates back to the 6th century and is in the heart of historic Florence. I had originally wanted to stay in the Lungarno which is 5-star but it was so prohibitively expensive and I was going to be siteseeing and seeing my kid who's studying here for a semester abroad, so not in the room that much so I went with the 4-star Brunelleschi but it should be 5-star. It's in a tiny hidden Piazza so it's very quiet but literally 3 mins from the famed Duomo and so incredibly close to the Uffizi Gallery and everything else you want to see. I was obsessed with the breakfast buffet which includes a juice and smoothie bar, and piles of crispy, paper-thin bacon. They have fresh everything and my daughter told me the buffet here was better than the Lungarno. My room was perfect; they upgraded me to a junior suite (room 229).. spacious and huge bathroom with rain shower and modern, gorgeous fixtures, instant hot water, no waiting (like at the St. Regis in Rome where 5 mins later the water is still cold in the shower). Large screen tv, 2 different types of coffee machines-- one basic and one for espresso, pods included. Fresh bottled water every night, and the housekeeping was spectacular. I know that sounds weird to point out but every time I came back to the room it was in perfect condition. Everything wiped down. The room was very well lit which is a big deal for me because hotel rooms are often very dim but there were multiple floor lamps and tonal understated decor. Not a great view, the room overlooked a tiny street below but not noisy at all. The restaurant directly across from the hotel, Il Paoilo is phenomenal. Oh and btw, there's a Michelin star restaurant IN the hotel. I didn't get a chance to try it but hear it's amazing. I don't usually take so much time to write a review like this but it was totally deserved. Giuliana and Sergio at the front desk were accommodating and professional. Finally, the scent of the hotel is like fresh grapefruit.. I checked the atomiser in the lobby and it's a Italian fragrance company with a website and I am totally ordering the scent online. Seriously, do NOT spend a fortune at the Four Seasons or the Lungarno.. Get a jr. suite at Brunelleschi and you will be so happy. I am.

Stayed for three nights in this lovely hotel which is situated a few minutes walk from the major attractions but down a quiet side street
The rooms are well equipped with a large comfy bed and a kettle for tea/coffee and clean with good air conditioning/heating. It had a good deep bath and a great shower with plenty of hot water. There was an evening turndown service with slippers and complimentary water put by bed each night.

The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of fruit, breads, cakes, pastries, juices and some hot items. There was also a made to order fruit and vegetable juice area.

Staff were all excellent and always greeted you when they met you and were always keen to help.

Our booking included a complimentary welcome drink and a free 3 course meal and both these were superb with service to match.

Would love to return one day soon

We stayed here for 5 nights in Feb 2020. The hotel is perfectly placed meters from Duomo, 15 mins max walk to station, 10 mins walk to Ponte Vecchio
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, Rooms were excellent, enough space in the regular room, beautifully furnished and serviced twice a day. Exceptionally clean everywhere. Breakfast was buffet and the choice of hot and clod food was very good, Inc prosecco and vino santo if the mood took you! something for everyone and a fresh juice bar! The main restaurant food I would also recommend we were very impressed with our meal there. The bar also is a good place for a night cap! They do have a 1 michelin star restaurant but it was booked when we could go, but it looked lovely. There are lots of excellent restaurants nearby for lunches and dinners. ( see my other reviews)
We took the train to Pisa for the day - it is an easy walk to the station -all flat- for 2 of us it cost 16 euro return. when you get to Pisa it is an easy was to the tower and takes about 20 mins.
We also went on a half day wine tour.
We had more than enough time to do everything easily in our 4 days 5 nights stay, Evening climbing the Duomo!
We travelled with Kuoni and had private transfers that took us around 15 mins each way.

Was our first time in Florence, and after getting dropped off at the front of this beautiful hotel we both exclaimed wow! The staff were welcoming, took the time to show us where everything was in the room, made a reservation for us, And checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was going all right.

The real star here though is the location which is literally in the middle of everything you would want to see, No more than a 10 minute walk to any of the major sites. Additionally, the amenities you get included in the price or one of the biggest breakfast selections I’ve ever seen anywhere, (Including my favorite, a personalized juice bar!) pretty great workout room, A Michelin star restaurant in the house, turn down service and a mini bar included for non-alcoholic drinks.

Pretty much didn’t want to leave this hotel. I think the only thing I would’ve changed was that some of the areas of the hotel had an odd smell time to time but I think this is expected with an old and historic building And the hotel staff often put out reed diffusers to counter this. Didn’t impact us in the rooms at all.

Thank you so much to all the staff who made the stay so wonderful!

We visited the Brunelleschi for our 20th wedding anniversary & it was just a gem. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like we’d been welcomed into a family. Super professional staff but with huge smiles & warmth. They had upgraded us on hearing our anniversary & when we arrived there was bubbly to enjoy & roses petals on the bed.
The room was great, overlooking the duomo. A huge bathroom & everything you’d expect in a nice hotel (slippers, gowns, toiletries, umbrella, hair dryer, laundry service etc) Breakfast was a delight too - every diet catered for & vin santo & Prosecco for those who wanted it.
The location is ideal - you’re a stones throw from everything - we didn’t use a car once & walked everywhere.
Go! The staff take this place from lovely hotel to a real experience.
Beware? The mini bar was pricey but free water in bottle is always available. There quite a bit of single use plastic in the room.
We stayed for 5 nights in February.

We just stayed here in a 3 night break which we arranged through the British Airways sale.
The hotel is historic and in thr most perfect location for seeing the best of Florence. Every major site is within a few minutes walk which is wonderful. It's also only a short walk from the Tramway which operates direct from the airport for 1.50 euros. Part of the offer was a free upgrade is available, a 3 courses meal and welcome drinks which really was thr reason we chose this hotel. We booked a deluxe duomo view room and were upgraded to a suite, which was great but no view. The suite was very spacious and had a very large walk in shower and jacuzzi bath. The small sitting area was furnished with a mini sofa which was clearly a fold out bed, it was very uncomfortable sadly and dipped so much in the middle! It made coming back to the room for a rest a little difficult so we used the lounge. The bed for me was too hard but hubby liked it. The room service was excellent and the turn down service.
Breakfast was very good with a very large and varied offer, plenty for all tastes and diets. We loved it and the service was so good. Would have liked speciality coffee option with non dairy milk but we had tea.
The hotel was kept very warm, too warm for me and I overheard a few quests talki g about this at breakfast. We mentioned this at reception and they turned off the heating to our room and it was perfect. It was not possible to. Open the window really as the room overlooked a noisy fountain outside the health room.
The only disappointment was the dining. Which was unexpected. We are vegan and have never found this a problem but on this occasion the 3 course dinner we had was well below par. We checked with reception and let the restaurant know in advance of our Saturday dinner reservation and we're told there was a vegan menu. Be aware as it is a vegetarian menu and only Offers 2 dishes, one was a vegetarian spaghetti with tomotoes and no cheese 🤣. So our meal was some salad leaves& mushrooms for starter, spaghetti with tomatoes and then dessert, well you can't really say dessert as it was melon and pineapple, the same as breakfast buffet. Such a lack of imagination!! We ate fantastic vegan food elsewhere for every meal and had high hopes for dinner at the hotel. We also ordered 2 gin and tonics with dinner but got the wrong mixers but that's a small thing. At 50 euros for 2 drinks though, small things matter. We felt uncomfortable throughout the dining experience, which is a shame as the dining area and ambiance was lovely. Overall it took the shine from a wonderful stay and we left feeling a little sad.
5 stars for location and super freindly and hardworking staff. 5 stars for breakfast and 2 stars for dinner, based on the lovely location. We plan to return soon, but will dine elsewhere.

Our daily goal is to make unforgettable the stay of our Guests, and when we do not succeed, it is a big failure to us. Our Chef Rocco De Santis has recently enriched our à la carte menu with vegetarian and vegan dishes to satisfy all requested, as well as gluten free dishes; be sure we will make a treasure of your note to review and improve our Vegan and Vegetarian menu and we will be happy if you will consider to taste our restaurants another time if you have the occasion to be in Florence. I booked this through BA without knowing much about Florence or the hotel. What a find absolutely prime position, 2 minutes from Duomo but so peaceful in a quiet square. The rooms were comfortable, tastefully decorated, soft soft sheets and a great bathroom with a perfect shower. A bottle of chilled Prosecco on arrival and another 2 days later for my birthday. Breakfast is all you could wish for with a great selection of meats, cheeses, fresh juices and delicious pastries.
Part of the deal was a complimentary meal for two which was splendid.
The staff have all been thoughtful and very helpful. A real gem thank you.

We stayed here for our honeymoon trip in August and it was our first stay in Florence. We arrived in a thunderstorm, the skies opened as we were walking the cobbled streets to find the hotel, it was quite memorable (if somewhat damp) way to make an entrance but the staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helped us to get dry from the storm. Stefano was really helpful throughout our stay with one thing and another, nothing was too much trouble. It was also a lovely gesture to receive a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to our room on the first night. The room was kept to a high clean standard and the air conditioning in the room was welcome each day after walking in the heat of the day. Breakfast was a buffet/self-serve style with plenty of options both hot and cold (the stained glass in the breakfast room was very beautiful). The tower part of the building is really old with lots of character, there is a museum inside the hotel underneath the old tower part which was small but interesting. We would definitely stay there again in future, quite a quirky place. It is also in a central location only a few mins walk to the Duomo and other museums/galleries etc. Highly recommended.

Stayed for six nights last month in this lovely hotel. Our room was luxurious and well equipped and the bathroom had plenty of surfaces for our toiletries, always a good sign. Service was marvellous throughout.
There could not be a better location; the hotel is a few steps from the Duomo, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi - everything is within easy walking distance.
The Santa Elisabetta Restaurant has a well-deserved Michelin star and served us the best meal of our stay in Florence. Breakfast was very good. The gym looked fantastic, one of the best I've seen.
In these strange times traveling has some disadvantages; the other restaurant and the bar were both closed during our visit and there was no room service available. But the other side of the coin is that there are few visitors, which means great service, traffic that is manageable, and few visitors in the big museums and galleries - those that are open of course.
Watch out for some of the minibar prices, which are a bit wild on a few items, and the laundry prices are such that you can just go out and buy whatever you need more cheaply. Apart from that, a great stay and we will doubtless return.

The Hotel Brunelleschi is in the heart of Florence and is located in a beautiful building which incorporates a pre medieval tower and is stunning inside and out. Rooms are all well appointed and the interiors are all stunning.
Service from all the staff especially the Concierge is wonderful.
The only problem we found was the buffet breakfast is not self service and you have to wait for someone to serve the food onto a plate for you. If this is legislated by the Italian government then i apologise, but if it is the Hotel's take on how to remain "Covid Safe" then you be better off issuing everyone with a disposable glove to put on their hand as they enter the buffet room. I have been to another hotel recently

Pretty sure they can accomodate -- my wife is celiac and they did a great job ensuring she had lots to eat. Granted we only had breakfast there. I would call ahead to be on the safe side..

I just saw your question- I am sorry for the delay. There is no problem with heating. It is a wonderful property and I hated to leave it. My family has stayed there twice- once in the spring and most recently before Christmas. It was wonderful both times.
