We were greeted warmly by the staff. Bags were taken to our room immediately by the porter. The room is elegant with a set of pink towels and a set of blue. Complimentary bottles of water were on the desk, and the minibar stocked amply (for a fee if used). A coffee pot was there, something not always found in Italian hotel rooms. The king size bed is nice, but we had trouble with getting the room warm. Even after calling the desk, we could only get the room to 70. If i left the room and took the key with me lights go iff, so ask for a second key card or your spouse will be left in the dark if she does not go with you!

A well used hotel particularly with tour groups particularly American groups, just a short walk from the main railway station. So if you are coming to or going from the main station it’s about a 10 minute walk. I found it to be quite a safe area although I would be careful late at night.

I had a double superior room located on a high floor with views over parts of Florence from a single window, which could open. It was not a very large room but adequate. Bed comfortable, good since TV with a few English language stations & has chromecasting. There is airconditioning but the temperature adjustments are not great, cold or cool! The bathroom shower is over the bath which is a bit tight on space & has a small inadequate shower head.

Breakfast was included in my room rate. It was not the greatest selection & was more like a cafeteria than a 4 star hotel. However staff were friendly & helpful.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby & it is just a couple of blocks from the river. Most sites are in walking distance from the hotel.

It was a comfortable stay but I think it just scrapes in as a 4 star hotel & it is quite expensive for what you get. But Florence is not a cheap city for accommodation.

Negative = The most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in and not really worth it. Air conditioning not working. Absolutely boiling in the room. Bathroom stinks of sewerage. No information given by reception staff when we checked-in. In fact, we were made to feel like a nuisance everytime we tried to speak to the reception staff.

Positives = the housekeeping staff kept our room clean and gave little gifts which was much appreciated. Location was convenient. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive.

The hotel has seen better days. The rooms were too small, the breakfast was rudimentary: scrambled eggs with baking powder and two types of sausage. Fried eggs at a price of €400 per night were only available at an extra charge. The room was absolutely too small, although the beds were excellent. Overall, it was getting old. I wouldn't stay here again

I chose this title because on the streets of Florence, I stumbled upon a hotel/restaurant with a sign that read this, and upon reading and understanding the joke, I said to my children: "This should be written on our hotel..." The expression of finding a hotel to sleep at night was completely violated by this establishment. After finishing two consecutive night shifts at my workplace and enduring a tiring journey, I was looking forward to arriving in Florence and at the hotel to have a few days of rest with my family, but that's precisely what didn't happen.
Out of the 4 nights we spent here, the first two I hardly slept at all. It felt like a haunted room; the lights simply turned on by themselves during the night, and I couldn't turn them off. I had to remove the key card and wait for all the electricity to be shut down, then put the card back in to have the power to charge our phones and have light in the bathroom. It woke everyone up, especially the kids, which was a nightmare. Of course, I complained in the morning, and a technician supposedly came to the room to fix the problem. The second night, totally worn out from exhaustion and lack of sleep, everything was the same. It was 3 in the morning, and I had to call reception to solve the problem, a true hell, and another sleepless night... Finally, the next morning, they decided to move us to another room since they couldn't solve the mystery problem with the lights. So, out of the 4 nights we spent here, 2 of them we didn't sleep or rest at all. Of course, we lodged a complaint because in my opinion, we shouldn't even have to pay for those nights, but without success or any kind of compensation.
Incidents aside, the hotel is worn-out and old, and the decoration is very retro (but understandable since we're in Florence). The bathroom is terrible because you can't take a relaxed shower since the shower floods the entire bathroom floor (for a hotel that claims to care about the environment, it's terrible because I had to use almost all the towels to put them on the floor to walk), the air conditioning didn't work several nights, and the breakfast was very, very poor for a 4-star hotel.
For me, the only positive points were the excellent cleanliness, congratulations to the cleaning staff, and the friendliness of all the hotel staff. Unfortunately, these positive aspects are not enough to compensate for all the other negative aspects. The hotel is extremely expensive for what it offers; there are undoubtedly better options to stay in Florence.

The hotel was very convenient to the city center - 10-15 minute walk. Great for a car as there is a parking lot on site. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Special thanks to Alessio, Massimo, and Francesca (front desk), Elena from housekeeping and the housekeeping supervisor did a great job as room was kept very clean and they were very responsive to special requests. Breakfast staff also very friendly. We had a wonderful time.

Stayed here in March 2024 as a couple. About 5-7 minutes walk from the Firenze S.M train station and within the City Centre where you can walk around to various restaurants, malls, shopping centers. Bus stations close to the hotel at the end of the road at a 5 min walk. We reached towards late evening and were immediately allotted a nice room. We had opted for a Comfort Double Room which was allotted on a higher floor as per our request.

A nice, clean, compact room with a decent sized bathroom and toiletries (bath tub, toilet paper, towels, napkins and shampoo, body wash, soaps and other amenities). There was daily housekeeping/replenishment for the 3N we stayed.

Since it was almost end of winter in Italy, we did not need the heater nor the AC and the room was comfortable. Buffet Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a huge spread and great taste, not at all crowded.

Overall, an excellent stay and would definitely recommend staying here as this hotel was just perfect, centrally located, great rooms and bathrooms, excellent breakfast and value for money! Thank you Grand Hotel Adriatico Florence for the wonderful hospitality and we would definitely stay here again!

Good hotel, good location, close to the Santa Maria Novella train station. Friendly and attentive staff. The bad thing is that I found the rooms a little small and the breakfast with few options of cheese and cold meats, but it seemed standard because the other hotels I stayed in in Italy on this trip offered similar coffees. It has good parking for those with cars, but at an expensive price, which I imagine is standard in the city of Florence. In general, I liked the hotel.

The room was a romantic with a balcony. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful especially letting us stay an extra night in the same room when our flights were cancelled due to a storm. The breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Would stay again

My wife, two adult sons, and I spent 2 nights at the Grand Hotel Adriatico during our recent trip to Europe. The hotel is located within walking distance of the main train station in Europe and was very close to where we picked up our rental car. It also was relatively close to many of the main attractions in Florence. However, beyond location, there wasn't much else positive to say about the hotel. The rooms were very dark, dated and very much in need of a refresh and, besides the cappuccino (which was one of the better ones we had in Italy), the breakfast was quite poor (both by American and European standards). We struggled to get the air conditioning to get the room to a comfortable temperature during our stay and the shower was so small to be almost unusable. We would strongly suggest that you find somewhere else to stay in Florence.
