I cannot praise this hotel enough. The accommodation is tradition, but clean ands smart. The management, Ricardo is very helpful and nothing appears too much trouble. Breakfast is tasty and there is a cosy bar for an evening drink. Highly recommended when you are staying in Florence. We shall most defiantly return.

I stayed here with my two daughters, aged 12 and 14, and we all enjoyed our stay. This hotel is around a 15 minute walk to the train station and around 20-25 minutes walk to the main centre. We didn't mind the walk and found the location to be a good one, especially bearing in mind that we wanted to...

Stayed in Florence at the Hotel Executive for 2 nights and it was a great place to stay in all respects. It was on the outskirts of the centre( 5 minutes from everything ) and so was so nice and quiet at night, breakfast was lovely, room comfortable and bathroom nice.and the staff were very polite and helpful. We have been...

Good continental breakfast. Our room was small and the air conditioning did not work no matter what we tried or how we adjusted it, luckily it was April and we could open the windows at night to let cool air in. Good location. Friendly staff

We stayed here a week, as my partner participated a conference. It is a good hotel, I would say something like 3+ stars. It is an ok walk from the conference center (near train station) and if you dont mind a brisk walk it is pretty close to the center of city. The rooms seem to be just fine; I...

Stayed for work. 10 min walk to train station, on airport side of the city. Very comfortable rooms, elegant foyer and bar area. Good breakfast set up. Wifi a little slow but working. Easy level walk into the heart of Florence.

Despite it seems a little bit apart from the downtown, you can walk the city from there without any issue. We even walked from Piazza Michelangelo to the hotel with two small children. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast has many variety. The staff is really friendly. Parking at 50 meters without need to reserve (20 euros per...

We've stayed in Executive Hotel for 5 nights as our home-base to hit the Florence top-sites of art and culture. Although the rooms aren't that big, the overall quality is good. At the bar they make some effort at cocktail time to welcome you with nice food and drinks. Breakfast is simple but good. Location is top: you can just...

If you drive a car i would likento recommend this hotel. there is a parking garage which is very close from the hotel. have to pay 20€ per a day (24h). the charging is different depending hours. also its location doesn't matter with ZTL so it is worth using a parking lot without being worried! in florence it is really...

This is probably the best hotel that I have ever stayed in. The Service is excellent and you are treated like royalty. The rooms have all you need and especially the old part of the hotel has an atmosphere of the old Firenze that you just do not want to miss. I have stayed many times in the hotel and...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
