We stayed at Hotel Pierre for the last three days of our honeymoon. It is very central to the old city, two or three streets down from the Piazza della Reppublica. We were warmed greatest and shown to our double room. It had the usual features apart from tea/coffee making facilities which was a let down (a coffee from the...

We really enjoyed our time in Florence, and the Hotel Pierre is in a great location. Near lots of piazzas and shopping. The staff has been great and helped us book some tours. The room is fantastic and very large. I highly recommend this hotel.

Through luck or skill we ended up in this wonderful hotel. Staff where more than helpful and ensured that we had rooms next to each other. Breakfast....ate more than we should have but couldn't resist. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. And the location - absolutely perfect - a short walk to everything (1-2 blocks).

The location couldn't be better. Less than 5 minute walks to the palazzo vecchio, ponte vecchio, piazza della repubblica, catedrale di Santa Maria del fiore. Every staff member was very polite and helpful. The breakfast room was quite nice, with a great view facing giottos bell tower. Only downsides were how small the shower was and the paper bed sheets.

The Hotel Pierre was excellent. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable as were the beds About 4 blocks from the center of Florence. Breakfast was great and this kept us 'walking' for a few hours! Very close to the hotel were 2 excellent restaurants.

What a delight to find an Italian hotel where the staff are consistently warm and helpful, the breakfast excellent, the rooms and baths decently sized and clean, and most important of all, the location superb! Hotel Pierre is almost equidistant from the sights to the northern end of the tourist center and the southern end. Everything was less than 15...

This hotel is in a very good location, walking distance to tourist attractions. Staff are very attent and the hotel is clean. The rooms are large, we had a lovely view of the city. I have only positive memories of my stay in Florence and would book this hotel again.

On our second visit to Florence, we stayed at the Pierre Jul 31-Aug 2,2016. We found the hotel to be just steps from restaurants, shopping, and the tourist stops we wanted to be near. Near to the Duomo, we had a great time. Our room was spacious, clean, and we had no complaints at all. The hotel provided a breakfast buffet that was very...

We had a very nice stay at the Pierre Hotel in Florence. It was our first time in Florence and location was really important to us. We also wanted a little peace and quiet at the end of a long, busy day. The hotel is on a quieter street with very little traffic and close to all the sites we...

Beautifully decorated room with spacious bathroom! However, the mattress was very uncomfortable. The service was reasonably good where the staff made arrangements for different tours upon our request. Breakfast choice was okay, but not exceptional.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
