We stayed in the Bargello Suite which is on the street side on the 2nd floor. It is a very well thought out space and good for longer stays. The kitchen is very functional, though it lacks some types of utensils. The bed is firm but has a good amount of give. It was a comfortable space for hanging out...

We stayed at Platinhome in late July 2015, it was absolutely perfect and lived up to expectations. We stayed at the Exclusive Uffizi Suite on the ground floor which was phenomenal. The room was quite spacious and very comfortable. The spa bathtub was an awesome addition as well. It probably has the absolute best locations of any place to stay...

We stayed at Platinhome Firenze's property on Via Ricasoli from 14th of July to the 17th an it was absolutely wonderful!! The location was awesome a couple of minutes from the Duomo and steps from the Academia that showcases Michalengelo's David and his other works. The apartment was very comfortable for 4 people with every comfort imaginable including daily cleaning...

We stayed for a couple of night at the Platinhome Ricasoli due to the location: it's walking distance from the railway station and close to the Duomo and the museums. There's a good supermarket close by and it's a nice neighbourhood. However the room turned out to be even better than we had expected, with 5-star comforts, a great bed...

Never did we expect to find such luxurious accommodations right in the center of the tourist area of Florence. We stayed in their apartments directly across from the Galleria Academia, unbelievable stay. I absolutely recommend staying here, within walking distance of everything a tourist would want to see.

We enjoyed our stay last September however there was one problem I want to make future guests aware of so that it will not happen again. On the morning we departed, our train was leaving early. At check-in the young lady reserved us a taxi to the train station on our departure day. Because of our early departure, we settled...

Fantastic apartment and excellent concierge - Agnes - who helped with every single query I had, including how to order food to be delivered to the apartment - it was pouring heavily and we didnt want to brave the rain just for dinner. Agnes found a way really quickly and even helped with putting in the orders. Thanks to her-...

Stayed 2 nights here in late Sep 12 and very pleased with the choice. Great location very close to Statue of David (100m), Duomo (400m) and walking distance to all major attractions. We walked everywhere through the 3 days and apart from Piazza Michelangelo which was a hike, everything was easily accessible. Room was really well fitted out, fantastic Jacuzzi...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
