A really impressive hotel right in the heart of Firenze. The whole experience is outstanding. It starts with the direct proximity to Piazza Republica. The terrace of the restaurant is right on the piazza. Rooms have a unique style - you feel at home. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Real impressive.

This is a very nice hotel with a great restaurant and very friendly staff. The room was great and the hotel is located in the center of everything. BUT - the tv has many stations all with different volume levels when you turn to them. If you want to listen to the English speaking stations, most of them are so...

Dream weekend We arrived after a short stroll from the train station and were pleasantly surprised to see the incredibile location of the hotel directly across from our favorite pasticceria in Florence Gilli! The hotel is positioned in the heart of Florence just a few steps away from the Duomo. When we arrived in our room we were surprised with...

It's been almost ten years since my wife and I last visited Florence (at practically the same time of year) and we were amazed to see in the interim how popular it has become. For the well-traveled, that's code for, "where did all these crowds come from?" Such as it is, with its central location, luxury appointments and 5* service...

We stayed 5 nights in this centrally located hotel, just perfect for a very walkable city like Florence. Beautiful floral arrangements in the lobby. Excellent breakfast at Irene restaurant. Service is smooth. This review should actually be 4.75 out of 5. What stops me from giving a full 5 is the lack of coffee making facilities in the room. This...

All staff were perfect...... so very helpful and on the ball. My only criticism is the size of the a double room and bathroom, the bathroom could only accept 2 people if one was in the bath and at €600/night I felt it was a bit mean.... but hay it's band in the middle of Florence with exceptional service. The...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
