Simply gorgeous hotel - love the roof deck! My husband and I loved ending our days chilling at the top of the hotel and enjoying the view of the city. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, too!
We stayed one night here and really enjoyed it. It's a great location and the rooms are nice. We had a more interior room that was very quite. The breakfast provided was great, a wide variety of options. The rooftop bar was interesting but tiny, we did not find it worth the 20 euro cost per person (first drink included this cost). There was a large loud group when we visited so it might be more enjoyable when less busy.
Stayed here for one night as part of an Imagine Cruising package. Well appointed, spacious room. Location in centre of Florence excellent and the rooftop bar in the evening as the sun sets is an experience to savour. Self serve breakfast selection was comprehensive and very tasty.
Just had amazing time in Florence the hotel felt more 5 star then 4. Checked in early and the staff were helpful throughout our stay. The room was big and very well decorated and loved the Art on the wall, the fridge was a godsend along with aircom. The roof top bar was great and can't praise it enough, fabulous views and lovely atmosphere. The location was very central to everything and an easy taxi ride to the airport. The breakfast was amazing had everything you needed and more. I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and will stay again. Thank you Grand Hotel cavour
We loved our stay at Grand Hotel Cavour! The location was absolutely perfect and the staff was so welcoming and patient with all of our questions. Big shout out to Barbara, the concierge! Breakfast was delicious and our room was a great size. The rooftop bar is an absolute must, but the drinks are on the more expensive side.
Wow, what a lovely hotel! This is our second time here and both times we had junior suite. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are super comfy and the air con is quiet allowing it to be on through the night. The breakfasts are perfect, so tasty and you can eat as much as you like to send you on your way. All the staff were great. The roof top bar provided gorgeous views of Florence, my only negative is the cost of drinks - very expensive. We will return - thanks Cavour!
We selected the Grand Hotel Cavour because of it's great location in Florence as the grande finale of our wonderful family trip to Italy. The hotel is beautifully kept. Our rooms were large and lovely. The hotel staff was gracious and welcoming and the concierge service was great. Breakfast offered a large variety of food, and happily, we arrived prior to the invasion of a big, loud tour group who made quick work of the breakfast buffet. (Not something the hotel could control, of course.) We made a reservation before arriving in Italy, for a 9 p.m. sunset drink hour at the rooftop bar. We were so pleased that the rain did not arrive and the sunset was spectacular, as hoped for and views in every direction splendid. We would definitely return.
This hotel is the perfect place to stay in Florence. The reception area is very nice and the rooms were fantastic. Plenty of space, updated and very comfortable. The location cannot be beat. It is about a 2 minute walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. I highly recommend trying out the rooftop bar as well with great views of Florence including the Duomo. There are plenty of good restaurants and shopping in the area as well. Everything you could ask for in a hotel. Highly recommend it!
Hotel Cavour is walking distance to all Florence offers. The rooms are compact but clean. We visited in April and had several warm days. The air-conditioning was not yet on and a room fan was provided that was very helpful. Did not have breakfast in the hotel because cafes were so nearby so you can get up and start exploring early. I did have a medical issue while visiting and the staff was so very helpful locating an english speaking doctor.
This is a fabulous location, with a comfortable bed, helpful staff, and a superb rooftop bar. We were in an inside room, which meant there was no view, but very quiet. Staff was helpful and responsive. Our only issue was the Shower/ttub that required stepping up about three feet, then only down slightly, making an awkward entry. And, there was NO non-slip protection. When I tried to get in, I nearly slipped. Before trying again, we asked about a bath mat and were told there were none and to put a towel on the bottom of the tub. Weird. We are both tall and I really don't know how a short person could get into the shower/tub.
