Casa di Dante has it all. It's in a great location near the center of Florence. It has a rooftop terrace with an amazing panoramic view. It is beautifully decorated. It has huge bedrooms, a giant common room, three bathrooms, and a kitchen. We walked there from -- and then back to -- the train station, which is about 15-minutes... More

We were welcomed at the door and our rather heavy bags were swiftly carried to our room. Our room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Bathroom was a lttle small, but that seems to be the usual in Europe. Breakfast served in a lovely room and coffee or tea available whenever you needed a drink.Very good location, we walked... More

We arrived late night and were greeted warmly. The owner used a map to show us how to get to all museums, plazas and train station. All were within a 15 minute walk. The breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again.

I honestly waited for too long to write this review...I am Italian, and last summer I spent few days at the Casa di Dante with my canadian family. Everything was perfect, the owner Claudio and his wife were there and everything has been simply wonderful under every point of view. Great location, great rooms, great view from the roof terrace,... First and for most it was a pleasure meeting Stefania and Claudio. They were very welcoming and great hosts. Everything was very nice. Our room was huge, spotless clean with beautifull furniture. I love the funiture and the decor throughout the house. The views were excellent especially from the terrace. We enjoyed seating on the terrace every evening for conversation... More

The accomodations were wonderful and as others have stated the rooftop views were spectacular. But more than that Claudio and Stafania were gracious and genuine in their hospitality. And the fresh pastries for breakfast were meravigliosi. Even though the steps were initially daunting it was worth every step. We can't wait to go back but with less luggage.

We stayed at this b&b without reading any review and it was a jackpot. Near the centre, beautifully decorated rooms and view over Tuscany. What else do you need? Another wonderful touch is that breakfast is brought to you in a very tasteful way (tray with flowers). The rooms are differently decorated so you can choose the one you like... More

Perfect for a family holiday. Location is central so you can walk everywhere you want to go. Rooms are laarge, airy, light and colorful. There is a kitchen and living room/dining room for relaxing, but the best feature perhaps is the roof terrance, where you can bring up a dinner from the supermarket on the ground floor of the building... A five star property and experience ***** Magnifico! We had a most wonderful stay at Stefania and Claudio's Casa di Dante B&B. The accommodations were superb and their hospitality was overwhelming. The rooms are immaculate and well appointed with Claudio's own Italian luxury style crafted furniture, "Gotha". The terrace with it's 360 views of Firenze was the special bonus to... More

The pictures don't lie - the view from the roof is fantastic, and the duomo isn't the only spectacular site to see. The rooms are very clean and very large. Claudio is an excellent host that really cares about keeping his guests happy. We will certainly be back and will recommend this place to friends and family. If you can't... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
