Florence was a magical place, but this hotel had nothing magical about it! We felt we could have gotten a comparable room in a monestary. The location was good, on a square, the staff tried to accomadate our needs, but that was the extent of the good things about this hotel. The room was large, but size is not what...

We really enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Guadagni, especially for its location. When other reviews said that Piazza Santo Spirito could get lively at night, that was an understatement. The piazza was teaming with people enjoying the sidewalk cafes and sitting on the steps of the chuch till the wee hours of the night. We liked walking out the door...

It is a great hotel for sampling daily life in Florence. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean. We had a superior deluxe room (at the back of the hotel) overlooking several Florence landmarks, the room was very spacious. The continental breakfast was very well stocked. The sun terrace provided excellent views of the city...

After several business and personal trips to Florence, have finally identified the best hotel in Florence....the place is a dream. My daughter and I stepped into this enormous room with 20+ foot celings and stone floors with an enormous window and terrace overlooking an idyllic square with fountain and cathedral...and we embraced each other and shrieked with joy...we knew we...

Our family of four spent three nights at the Hotel Palazzo Guadagni and were impressed with the friendly and helpful staff at this hotel. The bells of the nearby Santo Spirito church added to the atmosphere already put into place by the high ceilings and frescos in our rooms. We stayed over a weekend and when I awoke on a...

Agree with some of the other reviewers who found the hotel to be "not quite as expected." They don't claim to be anything other than a 3*, so they're not overselling themselves, it's just that it's such a spectacular building that we had high hopes. Entrance into the hotel is somewhat strange - one buzzes in, crosses a dark inner...

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our 5 weeks in Italy, our room at Palazzo Guadagni was the biggest by far! We had room 12 which does not face the piazza but does face a side-street and has a view over rustic rooftops. There was a little noise at night but with shutters and windows closed and ear...

We just returned from our trip to Italy. While in Florence we stayed here. Upon arrival we were able to leave our bags as our room was not yet ready (we arrived at 11am). Palazzo Guadigni is in a great location on Santa Spiritu Piazza, a walk across the bridges from the more touristy areas of central Florence. It's not elegant, but comfortable and in some areas quite charming. The balcony is a real treat, with views of Florence. Our room was huge with high ceilings and a great view of the city and...
