We had a great time here. The hotel is in the center of town, very close tot the dome. Our room (number 3) was big and clean and on the backside of the hotel, so very quiet. The biggest charme of the room was the terrace, wonderfull place to relax from sightseeing and shopping. The bathroom was rather small but...

As a young American woman who has been living in Italy for a couple years, I have seen the good and horribly bad when it comes to European hostels, B&B's, apartment rentals and hotels. The Relias Accademia is, by far, one of the best establishments I have ever stayed at. It was my mother's first trip to Italy/Europe and I...

the location is perfect - 2 m from the Duomo, and despite of that - my room, which faced a little garden was so silence, that i could even have rest during the day! Federico was so helpful and nice! he did the best i feel comfortable, including very good recomendations for restaurants, printing my ticket reservations on Web and...

This is listed as a B & B. It should be listed more as a pensione as there is no breakfast and no maid service. However the room was very clean, and even though it is situated in the heart of the Duomo area, it was very quiet and charming in that the rooms are located in a building with...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
