My husband and I recently stayed int the Badia Florentina Guesthouse September 2012. The location was wonderful, so close to the Ufici Museum and Academia, and easy access to the Train Station. Bruno was so warm and hospitable and our room was clean, spacious, and charming. Bruno was always available to answer questions and he put up with our limited...

We were staying in an apartment in Florence but it wasn't available our last night. Our landlady recommended this B&B and she did us a solid. First and foremost, one of the nicest parts of our Tuscany trip was meeting Bruno, the charming and helpful proprietor. He is an artist and the B&B is full of his wonderful paintings. We...

Badia Fiorentina checks all the boxes for a great place to stay in Florence -- very central location that is an easy walk to the train station and all the major sights, comfortable rooms, a full breakfast with excellent coffee. But what really makes this B&B stand out is the warm hospitality o the owner, Bruno, who will go out...

The welcome into Bruno's well presented, very tastefully decorated and comfortable home was most generous. For first time visitors to Florence Bruno's advice is pertinent and valuable, there is much to see in a too short timeframe from this very centrally located hotel. His breakfasts set up the day nicely. His knowledge, geniality and generosity made the trip memorable and...

Not often would I say that about a hotel but this was just perfect. Location, cleanliness, care from the owner, beds, linen, breakfast all just fine. And Bruno the owner will look after you very well!

We were on our honeymoon and Bruno- the owner- was very friendly and helpful. I was sick so with the help of google translate he found me an english speaking doctor where I was able to get antibiotics. Our room was small- but clean- the bathroom was across the hallway but our own not shared. Different but I like the...

We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in Florence Italy and we would return. Bruno goes above and beyond for his guests. The location is FANTASTIC, in the heart of Florence. There is a small grocery store located right next door and PLENTY of great shopping and a great little pub across the street. The rooms are a good...

This B&B is the perfect place to stay when you visit Florence. Bruno was a great host and made sure that our stay was perfect. Our room was large and comfortable, and the decor was very nice. Only three blocks from the Duomo and close to everthing else makes this a great location to base your trip to Florence. Ask...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
