So let me make this clear. We did not get to stay at the location advertised. We decided not include breakfast with the room, and apparently based on this decision, we were asked to stay in a studio apartment adjacent to Ponte Vecchio. The problem is that we did not know this until we arrived in Florence by train from...

Dear guests. I'm sorry you had the feeling of having been moved to a different place from the one booked but it is not so. If you look at your reservation you can see that there is written Apartment Ponte Vecchio, and in the description says 'Annex Studio' in 10 minutes walking. My father perhaps didn't explained well that you...

This B and B, which is also the home of Bruno our delightful host, is located close to all the main Florence sights, none were more than a 10-15 minute walk away. Breakfast was lovely, orange juice or water, cereals, fresh coffee, freshly baked rolls and croissants, a selection of jams and honey, cold meats and cheese, delicious pear cake,...

Let me start with the ONE negative, for those slightly infirm visitors. The rooms are one floor up and the stairs are quite steep. I repeat, this is the one, and only, negative aspect. We arrived in the pouring rain but, luckily, the next three days were cloudless and quite warm. We were greeted by Bruno, a warm and extremely...

The location of this B&B was spectacular; it was minutes from most of the major attractions, which allowed us to stop by for a quick break throughout the day. Our room was beautiful and very clean; we even got upgraded to the room with the bathroom inside even though I paid for the room with the bathroom across the hall!...

Nice price, clean accommodations, tasty breakfast (though heavy on the carbs, I couldn't resist the breadlike cake AND warm croissants); best of all is the incredibly great location, just minutes walk from Pallazzo Vecchio, steps away from Casa Dante and around the block from the Barghelo. Wifi is available only in the common room, and the TV didn't work in...

Location: The location couldn't be better for a first time visitor in Florence, as it is very near many tourist attractions, but far enough from the noise they may generate. It is also a few steps away from a grocery so emergency needs are easily accessible. The place itself is quite safe. We received 3 keys upon checking in: one...

Bruno was a lovely, friendly host, but that's the best I can say about Badia Fiorentina. While our room was large, the bed was very hard and the bathroom just adequate. The walls were very thin and you could hear people coming and going all night. Breakfast was very ordinary with some packet crossaints, bread rolls and cake. The location...

We had a wonderful stay, Bruno went out of his ways to make us feel like family. Room was small but beautiful. Location fabulous, close to everything, 15 minutes walk to the train station and 10 minutes to the Catherdal. Great resturants right outside the front door. Once again thank you Bruno, we hope to be back one day to...

My husband and I stayed here in September during our honeymoon tour of Italy. Bruno, the owner, is warm, welcoming, and entertaining. He helped us to call to get ticket reservations upon our arrival. Breakfast was good, with Bruno serving up hot drinks personally. The rooms are small, but this is Florence! They were clean, we had our own bathroom...

Stayed here for one night. It was a small room, with a separate (but private) bathroom. Room was very clean, the wifi was good, decor was very tasteful, good natural light. The breakfast inc freshly home baked croissants and cake in a very well kept shared living area. The only drawback was an unmanned reception area, although the lady owner...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
