Staying with Eduardo and his family was like staying with a long lost cousin. He welcomed into his house and introduced to the neighborhood. Showed us where to get coffee in the morning, where to catch the buses to the city center (a 10 minute ride), made sure we had bus tickets before the weekend and best of all got...

My wife and I chose Il Giglio D'oro because of the great reviews it received and we were not disappointed. Edoardo, Celia and their daughter Jennifer were terrific hosts.Upon arrival, Edo explained the neighbourhood and bus routes and provided us with maps and books on Florence. He then took us on a quick tour of the neighbourhood introducing us to...

We enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. Edo and his family are wonderful hosts, very hospitable and thoughtful. It is within walking distance to the major sites, yet not at all crowded. Our room was clean and spacious. There is no continental breakfast at this place, so we ate breakfast at the local "Lorenzo" bakery, and it was great. All...

Me and my wife spent 3 nights at this great little guesthouse. Edo was an absolute first class host. As previously stated in other reviews, Edo, took the time to show us around the local neighbourhood and introduce us to the local shop owners. The pizza place directly across the road served the best pizza we had outside of Naples...

Edo made us feel so welcome and went the extra mile for us as I was 5 months pregnant with twins at the time of our trip. He made good restaurant recommendations taking us to the places and introducing us to the restaurant and cafe owners when we arrived at the b&b. He was very helpful guiding us on where...

We visited Edo and his family over the last few days and were pleasantly surprised and satisfied with our experience. Edo and his family are terrific hosts and a huge help in learning to navigate the area. His recommendations for transportation and dining were helpful and the dining recommendations were all authentic and scrumptious. His home is warm and welcoming...

The host, Edo was so nice as everybody else is writing. He once came with me to a restaurant across the street (the owner is his friend) to give me some advice on the menu! I think he's someone who truly enjoys taking good care of others. The place is not at the center, and because of this things are...

My husband and I started our trip in Italy this past September with a short stay in Florence. Thank goodness we picked Hotel Il Giglio D'Oro! Eduardo literally saved our vacation, as when we arrived, late at night after about 30 hours of traveling from the U.S., it turned out that we didn't actually have a confirmed reservation. We were...

Eduardo and Celia welcome you into their home as though you were a friend of the family. They go over and above to make you feel welcome. Our suitcases did not arrive in Florence. Eduardo made calls for us to the airport and even offered to go to the airport to retrieve them! He was at the B&B to accept...
