I stayed about a week at Emerald Fields and found it perfect for my needs as a solo traveler. The bathrooms are clean, the beds and linens are comfortable, the rooms are tidy, everything including showers work well, there's hand soap in the bathroom and the included breakfast of tea/juice, jam, bread and cereal with milk is decent. The hostel...

While I was laying down on the bed, I saw an insect crawl out of the headboard in my peripheral vision. Upon closer inspection, I saw it was a bed bug. I informed reception about this and they moved me to another room where I discovered more bed bugs. They allowed me to get a refund since they were full...

Me and my friend stayed here for three nights and were fairly impressed. The location is really good, very close to the train station and the main attractions of Florence. Bathrooms were also good and really clean; they were three shared bathrooms on our floor that we had no trouble accessing. The staff were kind, gave us a free map...

This was one of the best hostels we stayed in. It was really clean and the owner makes breakfast and serves coffee or tea to you in the morning. Breakfast is simple toast and cookies but it is nice. There's a nice terrace to drink wine on.

The hostel is in good location; about a 15 minute walk to the Duomo and shopping area. The staff are friendly and the hostel is extremely clean. I had a 4 bed dorm and it was spotless, with great air conditioning. The bathrooms are immaculate. Tea and Coffee (complete with biscuits and toast) are provided and the lady who serves...

I booked this hostel and was saying AC, which I supposed was in all rooms because wasn't specified. I got a unbelievable hot room with 5 beds and ONE fan on the floor, which for sure couldn't run all the beds. I asked for one more and the guy in the reception (quite rude tho) said they didn't have another...

Arrived to be greeted by lovely staff - very helpful as we were provided with a map of Florence with all the tourist locations marked on it personally by staff. We were offered an upgrade to a private room which consisted of 2 single beds in a nice sized room, with AC - happy to not see bunk beds for...

My traveling partner and myself were two college aged girls and checked in to Emerald Fields and were offered an upgrade because of a cancellation to an apartment next door to the main hostel, described as "nicer, with a TV, terrace". Little did we know this was a bedroom in the hostel owner's apartment. Needless to say, this made us...

This small hostel is in a busy area, pretty centrally situated. The double rooms are large, with simple furnishing, facing the calm backyard, no TV, not super clean, not super comfy, but o.k.. Bathrooms are new, though no toilett paper. I got the impression that it is more of a "party" hostel as there was quite some noise at night...
