This is a great place to stay in Florence. Very clean, comfortable, centrally located and overall pleasant. We had a view of the Duomo from our window. Around the corner there are plenty of stores, restaurants and historical sightings. Almost everything important is within walking distance. Although it is perfectly located in the middle of the action, it is quiet...

Great hotel located on the third floor of a building. Host Stefano was very helpful with good recommendations and advice. Breakfast at a great rate is available from a lovely cafeteria alongside. Great location just metres away from the Duomo and many other sites. Definitely recommended. Room number 4 - elegantly decorated with window onto main pedestrian street.

Highly recommended! Not only is the location central to everything from the Mercato centrale to ponte vecchio, our room had a view of the Duomo. Stefano was a gracious host, always helpful and available, and the room was pleasant, with a modern bathroom. I expected a great location and nothing more, but the room was as great as the location.

Myself and a friend stayed here for 3 nights when exploring the city. The hotel itself is in the perfect location for anyone wishing to discover Florence on foot. It is within walking distance of the main sights as well as an abundance of excellent restaurants and bars. The rooms were very nicely decorated with some lovely pieces of furniture,...

Residenza della Signoria very well may be one of your best bets for the price. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 2015 and we honestly could not have been more satisfied with this "hotel". The entrance is located on an unassuming side street. You will be given a code upon reservation, which you will enter...

There was just so much attention to detail to make our stay quite memorable. Very clean, extremely comfortable. We felt we could come and go and it did not have the anonymity of a large hotel. Our room was at the back and an oasis of calm, barely any sound from the city and the view from the loo was incredible....

I stayed here for 7 days and found not one thing to complain about. The room was gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. Everything spotlessly clean. Window opened up above busy street but the double glazing blocked all noise when closed. Breakfast was offered downstairs at the best bakery in the world for €3.50. Quality coffee machine for guests...

There's really nothing to dislike in this hotel. The personnel was more than friendly, the building and the room was amazing, in the best possible location and everything was always clean. The wifi had some issues one day but that may be random.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
