The hotel is reasonable 30 min walk to the old Florence area. Down the street by the old arch is 2 nice cafes/ coffee shops for breakfast. Mattress is old and pillows flat. Room 3 faces the road which is quite noisy with scooters racing by. Good news is that this time of year you can shut the sound deadening... More

Had the best time at this hotel. Great walk to the center, safe location, staff was wonderful. Laundry facility is just down the road. They always answered our questions. Was not loud at all. The balcony was the best part. I would stay again.

Booked last minute when travel plans changed. Accommodations were clean and reasonably priced. A light breakfast was included in the price. Be prepared to haul luggage up stairs - which was "literally" a pain. Would stay again.

We fell on this place while finding our way through Tuscany. I can't believe how we found such an amazing place. Great hotel; amazing staff that speaks fluent English. The spa here is the best I've been to in Italy... In Europe now that I think about it. It really is a stunning Palazzo in a stunning little village. The... More

The hotel has three major pulls. It is walking distance from all of the major attractions in Florence, It is reasonably priced for its location, and the staff are some of the most hospitable people in Florence. The rooms are sparse yet spacious, and they do get hot without air conditioning, but it cools down substantially at night. The hotel... More

We stayed here during a very warm time in Florence and the lack of air conditioning was a huge disadvantage. We thought that opening the windows late in the evening would help, but after seeing 3 or 4 mosquitos shortly after opening them, that idea was thrown out. The room furnishings reminded me of a college dorm. The shower stall... More

I liked this little hotel. It was easy walking distance to the center and had an elevator, which is so much nicer than lugging bags up stairs. There was a pretty, little breakfast area that also offered beverages in off hours. Our room was simple but spacious and included a heated towel rack. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating.... More

I was only here one night before travelling to Rome and I booked thinking it would be an easy walk from the train station. It probably is, but not when you're dragging two large suitcases down cobbled roadways! That is my error though, and 25 mins later I finally got myself there. This is a budget hotel and the room... The hotel is quite close to the center, the prices are reasonable. Breakfast was very good. Our room was very big because situated on the last floor.
