Our family of 4 just got back form a trip to Italy - when in Florence, we stayed at Monte Oliveto for 5 nights. Great place to get away to at the end of busy days touring central Florence. Our second daughter decided to join us at the last minute. In addition to the top-floor La Mansarda suite which we...

This B&B is away from central Florence, about a 20 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio in Oltrarno. Donatella and her husband were very helpful and welcoming. The room was large with a balcony that looked out over their garden. Behind the property is a forested hillside, which adds to the privacy. Donatella was helpful in letting us store our...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days on our honeymoon. Upon arrival we were greeted by Donatella and her husband who made us feel extremely welcome. The accommodation felt like a home away from home; only 4-5 min away from the heart of florence by car. The accommodation was very clean and tidy, the breakfast was fresh, nutritional...

Before agreeing with the many excellent reviews of B&B Monte Oliveto, I will emphasize that in choosing a place to stay, know what you are wanting. My wife and I both visited Florence before, and had the hotel experience close to the center of town. However, for our honeymoon, we wanted more of an authentic experience, instead of a tourist...

We stayed 5 nights in the wisteria room. Fantastic room with private balcony. The B&B is in a nice, quiet area of Florence and yet it is very easy to get to everything form here. Breakfast was fantastic....crepes, fruit, cake and much more. Marta and Paulo were our hosts for the first couple of days and were absolutely lovely. Very...

We stayed four nights in the Sage Room. This B & B is a classy yet unpretentious place to stay in Florence. Donatella is a gracious host and I really loved staying here. She was very welcoming and helped us get a good start in Florence. She served a really good breakfast in the morning - loved the coffee, tea...

We (2 couples) had a fabulous stay here with Donatella and Nicolo. This B&B was a little ways from The Arno river in a quiet residential area of Florence. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Duomo area. Donatella was a super friendly host and provided us lots of information and suggestions on attractions, restaurants etc. in the...

Monte Oliveto was an amazing spot, just out of the hustle & bustle of the tourist areas, but so close to everything that you would go to Florence to see. Donatella was a very pleasant & helpful hostess. She suggested places to see, restaurants and helped us with reservations for the museum. Breakfast was always a special treat, the herbal...

Donatella was a great host and we enjoyed staying with her. She was very helpful in recommendations and a wonderful cook. My husband and I stayed in the “La Mansarda” loft, it was very spacious and clean. Sitting down in the huge tug to shower was a new experience, but "when in Rome..." My only tiny complaint was at night...
