This was a perfect place to stay: comfortable, clean, away from the bustle of the city (especially in the height of the tourist season), yet close enough to visit everything by foot. Marta, Paolo, and Donatella were incredibly gracious and helpful hosts. And all of this on top of a lovely breakfast in a lovely setting, the garden terrace. I...

After a month of traveling we ended our trip with a stay at Monte Oliveto. Thank you Donetella for such a lovely visit. Your English was great, your paintings are lovely and you made our time in Florence very special. All of your suggestions were perfect especially Groms for gelato and our dinner at Napoleoni. Also thanks for the bus...

Highlight of our 8 nights in Italy; our 3 nights and this perfect B&B. Having left an incredibly fast-paced visit to Paris and Rome behind, this little gem was just what the doctor ordered. Donatella is such a wonderful, sweet host. We also had the pleasure to spend a little time with her husband and daughter as well...all so inviting;...

Rooms of a very high standard and nothing is of too much travel. Cannot recommend it enough, hope to return one...

Awesome friendly hosts, great breakfasts, nice location on the other side of the Arno away from the crowds and comfortable accomodation. If you like to run there are some wonderful running areas virtually in the countryside behind this home and some beautiful views of Florence and Tuscany.

We had a wonderful stay in the B & B Monte Oliveto in Firenze. Marta, Paolo and Nicolo (Donatella was in holidays) were unbelievable friendly and helpful. Marta gave us very good advices about the area. They were better than a travel guide. Expecially we enjoyed the breakfast which was extremely good and we loved the conversation. The quarter ist...

Donatella went above and beyond to welcome us into her home and treat us as family. She helped us with museum reservations, scheduling a taxi to the airport, and even made restaurant suggestions. The rooms were impeccably clean and homey. Donatella even mailed us a package of some belongings we mistakenly left behind. Wow talk about above and beyond!! We...

We had high expectations of Monte Oliveto after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and it exceeded even those. We were greeted by Donatella and given lots of local eatery recommendations before she headed off for a painting course leaving us in Marta's capable hands. We travel with 3 teenage daughters so the Mansard room was just perfect for them. Breakfasts were...

My friend and I spent several nights as guests of this fabulous bed and breakfast in Florence, Italy. The owners of the B & B, Donatella & Nicolò and their daughter Marta, are exceptional hosts. They have brochures on all of the places you might wish to visit and their knowledge of the area, restaurants and sights are a real...
