The hotel location is so good. Only about 15 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes from Duomo. Claudia who I think owns the place is so nice and very helpful. Also, it has been very helpful for us to leave our luggages there ( for a cheap cost) when we checked out while we travelled around the place....

The location is great. Walking distance from the main train station. Very close to Duomo centre and other amazing places, museums and galleries. The hotel provides complimentary WiFi. The Staff was VERY helpful! We will return !

I happened to realize that I owe this B&B a review back in 2010 during when I travelled in Florence for the first time. The location is great. The decoration is quite cozy and lovely. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. She offered us a lot of advice for our trip, and also helped book the ticket to museum...

Le Seggiole has an excellent location but not the facilities one would expect of a B&B. We received "coupons" to have breakfast at a simple eating house (rather take away) down the street: 1 cup of coffee, 1 glass of water and 1 piece of pastry. Not comfy/cosy at all and not the waking up experience compared to an "in-house"...

Realizing in late afternoon that we had missed the check-in period (08:00-13:30!) we were luckily "rescued" by a considerate neighbor from another building who made a phone call in Italian and we were then let in to our room. Nothing special about the facilities and the included breakfast meant a coupon for coffee and a pastry at a cute place...

This place is right next to everything and such friendly hosts it's a joke! Came to Italy to propose and Le Seggiole was a huge part of the Italian romance. The restaurants that were within walking distance and not to mention the monuments were a blessing in disguise!

I love this b&b. Its new and clean. Bed is comfortable. I hv a double with private toilet. Its great. Price is reasonable. Location, its not near to ponto vecchio, but its walkable. Its quite enjoyable to walk around florence as long as you are only walking around the city centre. Overall, there is no complaint and the owners tried...

After reading the reviews my husband and I decided to stay at this B&B. We took a cab from the Sta. Maria Novella train station, it was about a 7 minute drive and around 11 Euros. Once you walk in there is a moldy smell to the building and then you realize that your luggage has to be carried up...

Ended up here on a recommendation and overall very happy with my stay. The hostess was friendly and very helpful and the room itself was great. You can walk everywhere in Florence and the hotel is very well situated. The only draw back would be a lot of street noise at night so take your ear plugs.

Le Seggiole is a fantastic place to stay. Fantastic not only in terms of location and hospitality, but also in the very genuine Florentine experience it offers to those who stay there. We took a cab from Santa Maria Novella train station, although we needn’t have. The drive was about three minutes long – so could be easily walked in,...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
