This apartment has an excellent location directly next to the Duomo., (NOT hard to find as others have suggested! There is a sign above the door! ) The room we stayed in was very spacious, light and airy, with a kitchenette and seating area. The decor and furniture were fitting with the style of apartment. It had a large balcony... More

Amazing location facing the duomo. We had the room with the balcony facing the duomo, pricey but worth it, great for apertivo using the little fridge in the kitchenette to chill prosecco to return to after climbing the dome! No issues with noise at night. Huge comfy bed, beautiful room. Bathroom and shower were a bit small but it's a... More

Me and my wife had an incredible stay at Granduomo on September 2013. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was excellent. We stayed at the room with a balcony and would highly recommend if you're willing to pay a little extra, having breakfast or drinks with a private view of the Duomo is a one of... More

Hard to find at first. A small doorway between a leather ship and sidewalk vendor. We were greeted as if we were old friends or family. The room was spacious and included a fully stocked kitchen. The water, juice, cheese, milk, and snacks were restocked daily along with fresh fruit and cookies. Coffee, wine, snacks were also available every day in the... More

Unbelievable location, extraordinary welcome and fantastic rooms. As a family of 2 adults and 2 very young children, we stayed 5 nights at the Granduomo and enjoyed the riches of Florence at our own pace. It is the ideal place to stay for a family with children as it offers all the convenience of an independent apartment with kitchen combined... More

Its the Duomo on your doorstep, literally. The best location you can think of for your holiday in Florence. We stayed there for 4 nights at the end of our Europe vacation and we were glad with Granduomo. First of all, the place itself is very charming. We had a big room overlooking the inner courtyard with our own kitchen.... More

Such an amazingly convenient location next to the Duomo! VERY friendly and attentive staff. A small cramped elevator but whatever. SPACIOUS suite with a very comfortable bed. My wife and I loved the FREE WIFI of this place as it makes such a huge difference. Didn't have time to explore or use there other guest facilities upstairs. Only weird thing... More

The Granduomo was a lovely surprise, we had our own fully stocked kitchenette, and it was replenished every day. Fresh fruit, croissants and bread rolls delivered to your room everyday, fantastic! There were great additional communal spaces, library and roof top covered deck and these were equally well stocked with yummy treats. Granduomo is right in the heart of it... More

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in a delightful apartment opposite the Duomo. The staff were helpful, friendly and looked after us. The amenities are lovely. It is a beautiful small hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends from Australia. We booked a deluxe apartment with a landmark view (overlooking duomo from three big windows). Two big bedrooms (both has kitchen) and two bathrooms. Very spacious. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
