Casa Ermenegilda is located in the earth of Cortona the beautiful etruscan town . In town there are lots of groceries, bakeries, butchers, all selling local produce, as well as an ice-cream parlour, take-aways and pizzerias. Both in town and in the immediate outskirts, there are good restaurants serving Tuscan food . Our House is very ancient and after a careful restoration, led in person by me, an architect by profession, the house has been transformed into an elegant and comfortable home, with great care taken right down to the fine detail, keeping close to its tuscan origins, but with a touch of flair giving it a refined yet warm atmosphere. Just a few minutes away by car are the nearby towns of Pienza, Montepulciano,Montalcino and with shopping centres and designer label outlets. Florence is 90 kms away, Arezzo30 kms, Siena 70 kms and the Chianti Classico area 90 kms. Both of us speak English .
