Well. On first impression I thought this hotel was quite nice, on surface value everything looks pretty good - a nice setting in a nice town, clean white walls and friendly check-in. There is a great rood terrace with a killer view (if it is open). But some things need a bit of attention - our shower didn't drain and... More

Located a few steps up from the main street but far enough away not to be effected by any noise. We arrived at the end of the season and were upgraded to the first floor classic contemporary suite and our friends to the second floor baroque suite and both exceeded our expectations. Even though the carpark is a bit of... More

Absolutely beautiful boutique hotel steps off Corso Umberto, yet quiet and peaceful. Wonderful people that work there and beautiful elegant dining room with a delicious breakfast. The chef is fabulous and weather-permitting, dinner can be served on a gorgeous rooftop terrace. Will definitely stay at this hotel again. Nicest people that work there - and gorgeous hotel.

This hotel is right off of the main pedestrian street, centrally located. There are only 10 rooms and the staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are beautiful. Our only complaint (typically American) was there was just a large tub with a hand shower, and no shower stall, so we made a bit of a water mess in the... More

The hotel was adequate with the main attribute being its very friendly, welcoming and professional team. Distance to the beach is quite a way so if you are looking for a family type of break, this may not be the place for you, but is definitely perfect if you are looking to grab the vibe and do some shopping.

One of the best hotels we have ever visited. We were welcomed at the car park by a member of staff who collected our bags and took us a short distance to the hotel. The location is perfect, tucked up off the main street of Taormina - close to all amenities yet away from the crowds. The hotel is beautifully... More

Very cosy boutique hotel bang in the middle of main high street of Taormina. It is refurbished monastery, all rooms individually designed in moorish theme. Frequently visited by local politicians and members of Royal families of Middle East. Roof top bar has stunning veiws!

Beautifully hotel perfectly situated just off the Main Street. Very helpful staff and all toiletries, hairdryers, towels etc provided in room. We drove from the airport and followed the very easy instructions to the car park, called hotel when we where there and they sent a member of staff down to collect our bags and show us to the hotel.... Great location in the middle of the action but at the same time in a quiet street. Great rooms, breakfast and fabulous staff. We were automatically upgraded to a suite with a beautiful view of the city and offered complimentary drinks cocktails on arrival. We were booked in a fabulous fish restaurant.

Having stayed previously at the hotel, in the first year of opening, I recently returned to Taormina and decided to revisit the El Jabel for old-times sake..... The building is beautiful and the situation is quintessentially what Taormina is all about, perched precariously within, and yet above the town, it has commanding views from the upper floors and roof terrace,...
