Staff are extremely helpful and will assist with everything Taormina has to offer …it’s close to the main centre of town. I had the superior room and it’s really nice and modern. Nice big shower and comfy bed.
The breakfast for $10 euros is also worth doing - there’s a lovely open rooftop balcony to enjoy your breakfast each morning.

This is a great place for a few days in beautiful Taormina. The location is fabulous - a few steps away from the pedestrian shopping street, and with unbelievable views over Etna from the breakfast room. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very helpful indeed - they really wanted to make sure that every single guest had a great time in their hotel and their city. We loved it.

This hotel is in an ideal location, a few steps away from the main town with a huge amount of restaurants to chose from. The elevated position makes for a lovely pre dinner drink on the roof terrace with amazing views. The hotel was spotless with a very thorough cleaning regime and hand sanitiser stations are everywhere. The only down side for us was that we thought the room was a little basic, there was no kettle and the room was a bit small. There are no black out curtains, just metal shutters that make quite a noise when you open and close them but most of the hotels around seem to have these. The roof terrace, staff and location more than make up for any room issues. Thank you for a lovely 5 night stay in Taormina.

As mentioned in practically every review, the view on the sea and the volcano is very nice and the location of the hotel is very convenient. The terrace invites you to linger, but not in the early afternoon, as there are no shady places anywhere. In addition, the service is only available from 16:30, until then you have to help yourself. We had gotten two rather smaller rooms, which do not look like on the photos. The bed was ok, but not very comfortable. The rooms were rather small. The bathroom was very cramped and outdated. Touching the shower curtain cannot be avoided when taking a shower. It can take a long time until warm water comes. When the neighbor flushes the toilet, the water bubbles in your own bathroom. The toilet lid falls on your back all the time because it does not hold. If you take out a hygienic towel on the wall mounted holder, then you pull it with you. We were not so enthusiastic about the (covid compliant) breakfast, so we had breakfast outside. Positive: everything very clean, fast internet and very friendly and helpful staff.

We spent two nights here as a part of a Rick Steves tour of Sicily. The room was very small with limited space to lay out our daily things. However the bathroom was nice with a larger than average shower with great water pressure. There are no glasses provided but I picked up a pair at the water station in reception.

A highlight of our room (#162) was the corner balcony, nicely sized with two comfortable chairs providing views of the sea and of Mt. Etna. The rooftop breakfast room and bar had a beautiful view of the mountain (when it wasn't obscured by clouds). Drinks at the bar were a bit pricey (14 euro cocktails). The breakfast was quite nice with the best fruit of the trip and almost crispy bacon.

The location is good, just uphill from the Duomo (stairway has 100 steps). Evenings were a bit noisy but the windows are well insulated so it wasn't intrusive. The aircon worked well.

Just got back from a relaxing stay in Taormina. The hotel was a real surprise as my expectations have been surpassed on all levels. The staff is extremely friendly and always available : thank you Dario and Daniela at reception, Lucia at breakfast and the ladies from housekeeping. This hotel has an excellent position : you can be in the city centre in less than 5 minutes but if you like a good walk, there are several other ways that can take you there. For breakfast (served) there was a wide variety of fresh fruit, bread, cereals. The rooms are very nice and renovated, the housekeeping ladies are doing a very good job. The Sky Rooftop Bar is a must for a good aperitivo with an amazing view on the city and always good music to chill. I appreciate that the hotel was extremely clean and safe in these difficult times, the staff and the guests did everything to comply with the security measures. I had a very enjoyable stay, I wish I could have stayed longer. This hotel is worth 4 stars, a big THANK YOU to all the staff !

We've just returned from this beautiful hotel and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Our room was lovely, the bathroom modern and a lovely side view of the sea. The location is the best, if you use the garden exit and take the stairs down it will lead you to Corso Umberto. There was also an amazing bar and pizza restaurant on the way down to the steps which I highly recommend, people were queueing at midnight to get in!
The roof top bar had fabulous views of the sea and the breakfast was lovely with a good variety to choose from.
If/when we return to Taormina I will defintely stay here again. (Book a room on the 1st floor for easy access to Corso Umberto and the best views).

A lovely hotel close to the Duomo. All rooms booked were very clean with all amenities. The hotel has a back entrance through its pretty garden which leads to a small square before the final flight of steps just in front of the Duomo. Staff at the reception are very nice and helpful. The reception is always manned and open the back gate immediately when one rings. Breakfast is a nice mix of sweet and savoury. We are repeat customers and have always enjoyed our stay here.

The downside is though the hotel is 3 mins away from the Duomo , way up is not easy for anyone older or with a walking impairment given the steps.
Rooms are all nice but some are more modernised and spacious than others. The rooms with a lovely view onto the square can be a slightly noisy when there are celebrants and music at the bars on the steps. Whilst the older people in our group mentioned this fact, the younger people didn’t mind it at all.
Parking in front of the hotel is available but limited.

We stayed here for 2 nights 23rd to 25th of March .
I cannot rate this hotel highly enough and would give 6 stars if possible .
From the moment we walked in after a long plane journey /drive we were totally blown away by it . You enter the hotel on the 3rd floor and from the 3rd floor through the lounge there is the most amazing view of Taormina and the sea and of snow capped mount Etna beyond .
The staff were without exception friendly and so helpful and attentive , going to great lengths to direct us to the hotel in the first place and then to park our hire car for us . Nothing seemed too much trouble and they went out of their way to help us have the best stay in Taormina
The room was large with a lovely balcony looking over the garden and a really comfy bed , and fantastic shower .
Breakfast was a wonderful spread of pastries , cereals , fruit and cheeses and meats . Also the best cappuccino we had all holiday !
Access to the old town from the hotel is through the garden which is delightful , full of citrus trees and exotic plants . Literally a 2 minute walk into the town.
The hotel also has a stunning terrace area where we sat in the sunshine and had pre dinner drinks and enjoyed the phenomenal views (see photos ) we were even bought blankets when the sun went in and it got cooler .
I looked at a number of hotels before choosing this one most of which were significantly more expensive we thought this was exceptionally good value .
We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Taormina , Thankyou so much for having us ! Yes

This hotel is more of an event space than it is a hotel. There was a really loud party going until after midnight on the rooftop. At the end of it, drunk people were screaming outside of our window until 2am. We had a room with a matrimonial bed, which was actually two twins pushed together. All night, the beds kept separating in the middle and my husband slept in the crack all night. When I went to the front desk to complain, Dario, the front desk person, guaranteed us a refund and also offered us a complimentary breakfast. When we went to the breakfast, it had already ended and there was only scraps left (the breakfast quality of what was left was awful). I have been trying to get a refund since that time, and Dario lied and said he never offered us a refund. When I called him, he admitted on the phone that he offered us a refund but he said that he couldn't help us now and that only Booking.com could refund us. Booking.com said that only the hotel could ok the refund. So I have been going back and forth with the hotel and Booking.com and still haven't received a refund. It's not worth it to book hotels through Booking.com, imo, because the customer service is crap. You can't ever speak to any manager, only low-paid customer service reps who don't know what they are doing. Anyways, you get better discounts if you book directly with hotels.

Our flight would land at 21:20 - would it still be possible to take public transport to the hotel?
Answer from Wayne G
Johannesburg, South Africa223 contributions70 helpful votes
Probably. But the issue with this hotel is it depends where the public transport drops you. Trains (3km away) would require you to also use a bus. The bus stop is 30 minutes uphill walk from the hotel. Also be reminded that they add 'night time' supplements to some forms of transport. So it depends how much luggage you have and how long you want to drag it up some steep roads. Taormina is basically on the side of a mountain. I would recommend a taxi but understand that this is a more expensive option. Check the rail and bus time tables for your dates on the internet.
