This Hotel is unto itself; thru their entrance gate you immediately feel like you've stepped into a postcard. As an older (1826) hotel it's certainly not a Modern-Deco hotel but the charm more than makes up for it. Park in the back lot and enjoy the grounds. A wonderful pool, garden, and quarry walk makes this a definite stay next... More

We booked two rooms at the same time and one was adequate while the other was tiny. The electrical kept going off although the staff kept insisting they had remade the card. Although the quarry grounds are very interesting, there is nothing within walking distance of this hotel - either travel by taxi or having a vehicle is a must.... More

Our room was small and comfortable, small bathroom, with a pool view, nicely furnished but the price including breakfast was an extremely good deal! I could see that room sizes varied and I presume so did the price..The pool and outside areas are delightful which was an important attraction for us. Two dinners we had were super. Breakfast was good... More

I am sure that your days at G H Villa Politi have left traces in your heart. The next time I suggest you to choose a superior room with bathroom more comfortable. During the winter season, the gardens inside the Latomie, open only on certain days if the weather allows it.... you can admire them from our park and from... More

The hotel is located outside the old city. It's convenient when you have a car. There is ample parking space. It has a beautiful and spacious dinning room with distant views to the Ionian Sea. Room was not too spacious and had a strong cigarette smell despite being non smoking. I was offered an alternative room. Reception staff are as... More

To enter in a hotel is like to meet someone for the first time ... it can be love at first sight as can be indifferent even contempt. Yue arrived and welcomed to the hotel in your room classic, as your reservation. Despite our rooms are cleaned and sanitized, you noticed, certainly not to change the room, the smell of... More

The approach was very grand, sweeping stairs to the shaded terrace. All that was missing was Inspector Poirot. I stayed there with a group and the room allocated to me was on the third floor in the attic. Far from feeling like the first Mrs Rochester it was spacious with a double and a single bed overlooking the pool with... More

When we welcome a group of travellers, it is normal to assign rooms with different features: some with seaview, some with a view over the pool or the Latomie park… yet all Guests surely receive the same attentions and the same cuddles. Grand Hotel Villa Politi since 1862… the great beauty!!! More

Sitting above the city as it does. is both beneficial and a drawback. One can easily access downtown with the RED BUS but one cannot walk to the 'centre. There is an unheated pool, don't ask for a coffee during the afternoon, there isn't anybody available to serve you. But the hotel is Grand, rooms are comfortable, air conditioning works, staff are pleasant.

Dear Mr. Seutonious, it sounds weird to me that you did not find “anyone” available to make you a coffee! When I started doing my job, the first thing they taught me was how to make a coffee, telling me that a good manager needs to make a good coffee. I am sorry to read what you wrote… I would... More

Booked two rooms with balcony. One had large balcony and view the other had a view through a porthole and a minute balcony, barely room for two chairs. Even a struggle to get to the breakfast buffet!!! Next time, especially having the room with the balcony, why not choose the breakfast in the room? You could directly ask the waiter your coffee, he would be happy to serve it at the table. However, I agree with you: too many travelers choose the GH Villa Politi, our 100 rooms... More

Very beautiful hotel brimming with historic relevance. Although it is a bit outdated, with tender care it does not feel worn down.
