We booked Il Principe through a discounted deal over the internet a couple of months before our holiday and it gave us great value for money. The breakfast was a very high standard with top quality produce and fantastic coffee from an expresso machine and nice waiters. The reception staff were genuinely nice and helpful with directions for buses and...

Thanks to Giovanna and Carla for taking such good and friendly care of our needs. A very comfortable and welcoming hotel in a great location within walking distance of the ferry dock and many of the major attractions of the city and to the public transport. A good choice. My only trivial suggestion to improve the excellent service would be...

So, this was the last hotel of our Sicily trip, and the second one we tried in Catania after the Liberty. A friend had already left so we booked a triple room; reached the hotel by car, and you know driving can be both fun and nerve-wrecking in Sicily, although indications to reach the hotel are pretty clear. As was...

Our first time to Catania and we booked into this beautiful hotel for two nights. The friendly porter parked our car for us and then showed us to our fantastic bedroom. It was amazing and spotlessly clean and very large. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfasts were probably the best breakfasts we have ever had in Italy...

The Il Principe is a newly-built or completely renovated boutique hotel right within 2-3 blocks of two of Catania’s principal tourist attractions—the duomo and the fish market. The hotel is sleek and beautifully finished, modern rather than traditional. Our room, neither large nor small, was tastefully decorated, and the bath was well-appointed. Staff was polite and helpful (their recommended restaurant...

We only spent one night at the hotel but it was overall a very good experience. The hotel is situated in the historical district of Catania, within easy walking distance of a number of interesting sites. Our room was a spacious suite with a mezzanine floor & large ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath. It had two balconies and a decorated...

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told by bthe staff that we had been overbooked and that we had to spend the first night in another nearby hotel (Manganelli palace). The staff was not particularly friendly on this occasion, but after that our stay there was ok. The room are really spacy and nice but a little noisy...

The Hotel wasn't that bad, and in fairness, in contrast to the other hotels on our trip, this was the cheapest. We had a Double Room Suite at the front of the hotel. Unfortunately, this was during the time the night club/bar next door was going, they unloaded trucks at 5:00am, they are renovating the building directly opposite and the...

Nice hotel, perfectly located in the ancient center of Catania. Employers were very polite and helpful for information on restaurants, bars and nightlife. Our deluxe room was very modern and sunny. Overall a good, quite romantic, hotel close to everything in Catania. The good ratings on TripAdvisor are well deserved.
