I have stayd at this hotel several times. I am impressed by the staff. The service I get here has always been excellent. I am travelling a lot and I am staying at hotels in europe an the US, often at the same hotels, but when i come to the Romano House in Catania I feel like home.

The location is great. It is within walking distance to all the major tourist attractions and a bunch of delicious restaurants. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, we had a problem with our room after the first night and they switched rooms (and upgraded us) quickly and without issue. My only criticism is the rooms could use a little...

We were just passing through Catania and were only able to stay one night but my husband and I LOVED this hotel. We had our own private balcony, it was very modern, had a very comfortable bed and a good breakfast. Within walking distance to some great restaurants as well and not too far from the airport! Would love to...

This hotel is clean and attractive, as well as being conveniently located for the old town and walking across to the Via Etnea in only 3 minutes (See my review on the Via Etnea). So, the trick is to always turn left out of the hotel. Turn right and you quickly find yourself in the seedy red light area. Not...

As the hotel is smack dab in the centre of the city, there is a constant battle for parking. Having said that, we found it easy to find street parking all around the hotel but you have to be prepared to keep paying the meter. We didn't find this so intrusive actually as everything to see is within walking distance.

Another way to solve the problem is not to have a car in the city and rent one as required. There are lots of rental offices in the city for this purpose. In brief, fly in to Catania, take a bus or taxi into town, walk the city to see the sights and rent a car when you would like to.

This hotel is not near the beach. It is in the centre of Cantania.
