This is a gem of a B&B we have found it excellent for its amenities, its staff and location. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, the garden is lovely, a great place to relax in the evening and have breakfast. We would definitely stay here again!

Since I discovered Casa Barbero, I do not want to stay elsewhere when I am back to Catania. A warm, familiar and pleasant place, with a very good breakfast, and well located, near Piazza Cavour/Via Etnea. You have a beautiful interior garden, where you can have your breakfast, rest or read a book.

The garden is certainly the highlight of this nice B&B. Breakfast is served there when the weather allows. Large rooms, quiet, this is the perfect location to visit Catania. One can easily walk to the city center and leave the car in the nearby parking lot. Antonio is a very discrete host. He was not present when we arrived but...

We stayed only overnight at Casa Barbera, but it's a lovely B&B, operated with warm hospitality, in the northern side of Catania. The rooms are spacious, very clean, well-provided and nicely decorated, and the room rates are delightfully low for the property's amenities. We arrived late, but Antonio greeted us in the morning at breakfast. Casa Barbera's external gate presents...

This is the perfect place to stay in Catania. The B & B is very handy to everything in the city but also very quiet because you're in the centre of the building. The centre courtyard is exactly as shown in the photos and is great for breakfast or a drink in the evening. We were three adults, a couple...

It is a wonderful place to spend some whilst in Catania. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed. Enjoying breakfast in the courtyard, full of plants is a great way to start the day. Good slow pizza place nearby. Antonio is a very helpful host.

A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights recently. We arrived by the Metro and had to walk down a road that was quite narrow and a lot of graffiti. I thought I had made a huge mistake. But as we got closer to the B & B the road improved, less graffiti and when we arrived at the...

Monica and Antonio consider you their responsibility from the moment you enter the city limits. We were met at the airport by Antonio, despite several flight delays, and by the time we reached Casa Barbero, we felt we knew the layout of the city and its highlights thanks to Antonio's tour guiding. Upon arrival we were given a map, a...

A pleasant walk uphill from the piazza. The hosts were away when I arrived, but they left excellent instructions and I met them the next morning. Warm and inviting. Monica gave my companions and I (even though they all stayed somewhere else) a ride to the harbor to catch the Lipari ferry. One of those grace notes that makes a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the city center of Catania, an elegant residence dating back to the early '900 wisely transformed into an elegant and charming B&B. This Bed and Breakfast retains the charm of Art Nouveau that lives through stucco and frescoes, expertly blended with contemporary furniture, all combined with warm colors and quality materials that will make you feel at home. In the centre of the residence and in front of every room, all with ensuite bathroom, a place of great relaxation is at your disposal: a Mediterranean garden where breakfast is served during the warm season or where you can have a break and use our free wi-fi. The B&B is 200mt away from the Borgo Metro and a few steps away from Cavour Square, crossroad of the Catanese autobus service. In a few minuts you can reach the Bothanical Garden, Villa Bellini (the city park), different restaurants, taverns and pizzerie. Via Etnea, Unesco heritage and shopping street, is attainable in 5 minuts. ... more   less
