I booked the room through Booking.com a couple of weeks in advance after reading excellent reviews about it. I should have checked Tripadvisor instead. The first room we were given (room nr. 47) was like going back in time to the 1980's. In one word: awful! For a moment I thought went to the wrong hotel. After complaining with the...

The Hotel Italia is well placed in the old part of town, close to the bus station and surrounded by restaurants. True the night life atmosphere can get a little loud, but not out of context. The room, air conditioned, was clean and correct if not a little spartan and could do with a freshen up - the bed was...

The location is great, rooms are okay, personal is not happy and not polite. Also i dont understand why they are giving the worst room when hotel is not full.. anyway it is the place if you are looking for central and clean hotel.

If you are looking for a city centre hotel, it is a perfect place. It is right in the centre of everything, walking distance to all city sights and bus terminal. There are so many restaurants next to the hotel, that you don't need to walk a lot to eat great. If you are looking for luxury, it is not...

Excellent location, stayed for 2 nights. In center of old restaurant area, easy walking distance from almost all in-town attractions, and bus/train station. Excellent clean room and helpful friendly staff. Awesome breakfast. Totally recommend this place.

We needed to be in Cagliari for an appointment and we wanted to be in the centre. Hotel Italia fit the bill! Personnel were very friendly and helpful, the room was a decent size, though in the centre, it was not noisy at night and there was a generous breakfast buffet each morning. If you need a place to sleep...

For a total non Italian speaking English person, this hotel was fantastic from their customer service, helpfulness, and hospitality. I forgot my iPhone charger and adaptor yet they let me borrow one for free for the duration. They were happy to give me the wifi codes several times a day and they were friendly and accommodating. The room was basic...

Hotel Italia is perfectly located in downtown cagliari. The staff is always very friendly. The hotel started to renovate their existing rooms which provides an added value. Unfortunately the old rooms are still very worn out and can only receive a 2 star from my end.

A three star hotel, so quite simple but very tidy and clean, with helpful and smiling staff. Breakfast is fairly basic, but quite sufficient and coffee is pretty good. Juices rather thin, though, The best part is the location right on the pedestrian area of the old town, with any number of restaurants and bars around (the restaurant right opposite...

This is a perfect hotel if you are on a budget but want to stay centrally and in good clean accommodation. Our room was spacious, with balcony, tv set, fridge, quiet aircon. The hotel situated very centrally in Marina district, packed with seafood restaurants, next to the port, railway and bus stations. Free wifi which worked all the time. Great...

“Some single rooms on the fourth floor have a balcony (for example 407), which offers a feeling of greater spaciousness, others don't (409). On my returning trip, I was hoping for at least having a balcony again. It didn't happen, even though the reservations for all thee nights were months ahead of time. ”

“There is an annex to the hotel, stay in a room in the main hotel - worthwhile having a room upgrade if offered.”

“We had room 404 which is on side with a balcony and a restricted view of street below and down towards harbour. Top floor is probably quieter and we had very little problem with noise.”
