There is a small fridge in the room, no drinking glasses.
Please note that the air conditioning is noisy - however, this did not bother us.
There is a EUR 3 charge for beach towels. On the beach, the use of two beach chairs + a parasol costs €25 per day (€15 for half a day).
The staff were helpful and friendly.
A little hard mattresses, shower cabinet scratched, only shower soap and hand soap in the bathroom.
The pool area is nice. Can advantageously wash sunbeds and tables. A lot of noise from the kitchen which has a window facing the pool. This was pointed out, and asked to close the window and turn off music. Okay, okay, the answer was and the noise continued.
Food; we had half board but were so disappointed about dinner especially. Roses for new menu every day (4 retters) but does not help it when it was tasteless, dry, dead cooked vegetables, hard foccatia, dried roasted fish and meat. Breakfast nice but small selection.
Rotten and upset waiters.
Operation can generally take a little in the neck to provide better service and create Gid atmosphere.
Location; it was good. Short distance to the beach, bakery shop, cheeses, wine/beer/meat, olives, etc. Paddelbane m 3 tracks on the other side of the road. Bus stop right v main street below hotel. Easy to get to beautiful old town. Otherwise a nice walk because there is a lot happening along the promenade here.

Breakfast wasn’t great at all, if you’re into a continental breakfast that’s ok , but as an Irish woman I don’t fancy lots of sweet cakes at that hour. You couldn’t get even a poached egg or an omelette.
The photos of the pool are very deceiving, the pool area is smaller than the photos make it out to be. I’d get to the pool most mornings before 9 am. I only had one sun-bed as that’s all I needed, but there were people occupying more sun beds than what they needed. I gave my sun-bed up on one occasion to an elderly lady as she had none as a lot of the beds were taken up with TOWELS for hours and no people. One morning I decided to have a lie in so didn’t make it to the pool until 10am and again all the beds were taken up by towels. I said it to the pool guy but he just shrugged his shoulders at me. I ended up on the beach that I paid €5 for a sun-bed for .That evening I complained to the staff at the desk and her response was practically the same as the pool guys. I asked to speak to management her response was he’s gone home. So I approached him the next evening and his response again was practically the same. I don’t think those responses were good enough for a so called 4 star hotel. Needless to say We will not be back.

Now, when picking the room, you must be very careful. Sea view room means a room with a tiny window overlooking the sea in the distance. But you can enjoy a beautiful sunset across the roofs of other houses. If you are lucky to get the room in the upper floors. If you want sea view AND balcony, you have to specify it. However, in that case your balcony opens to the noisy street. Take it or leave it!
The hotel has a wonderful service of the letterbox in the foyer, BUT these letters/postcards never arrive their destination. Sad. I sent my friends wonderful cards with beautiful stamps but after 5 months nobody has got them.
The hotel is close to the sea, some 200 metres, BUT it means VERY dirty city beach, smelling of seaweed. Absolute NO-NO. To enjoy the beautiful beaches of Sardinia you must have a car and drive for hours.
Across the street there is a supermarket, but its surroundings are so rubbished. Nothing to do with the hotel, still.
Very popular among the locals.
The staff are what makes the hotel shine! Particularly Carlos the manager who always goes out of his way to ensure your every need is catered for.
A special mention to Barbara, Emma, Martina & Maria who were always so courteous & expert at their jobs. The pool area is very well maintained & the lifeguard very professional.
We hired bikes for the duration of our stay which the hotel organised which we highly recommend if you don't have a car.
The housekeepers are excellent & it was so lovely to come back to our room freshly stocked with fresh towels and crisp clean sheets everyday.
We loved our balcony with a seaview. Supermarket across the road and our room had a fridge. Beach & ice cream parlour & restaurants less than 2 minutes away.
We highly recommend!

We booked one bedroom apartment and the size of the apartment was good, the power in the shower was also good, but the shower size was too small, the shower door didn’t close properly. The kitchen is very basic, was not usable for us, no frying pan, no kettle, no wine glasses. The power sockets are in weird places, so you couldn’t charge your phone next to the bed.
Air conditioning is very weak and present only in living room.
We stayed 10 nights and no cleaning was done during our stay, towels were changed only once. This is a bit shocking for a 4 star hotel and for the price they charged for the apartment.
Alghero is a nice resort, which has plenty to offer, we would definitely return but not to this hotel.
