The rooms are lovely! Clean, quiet, comfy bed. The property is STUNNING. Big enough to wonder and enjoy some space. The entire staff is kind and attentive. Above all... The owner Giovanni is impressive. He is so passionate and dedicated to operating an exceptional hotel. They were short staffed for dinner service while we stayed. I reached out to Giovanni,... More

Agriturismo San Mattia is a lovely place to stay in the hills overlooking Verona. We spent our first night with an excellent dinner and wine in the garden with a stunning view of Verona as the sun set and the lights came on in this historic and beautiful city. The hotel family were lovely and helpful with suggestions for local... More

The property and views are really breathtaking there. The Agriturismo San Mattia is set on the hill overviewing beautiful Verona City. You can enjoy the full city view with bridges crossing the river. The property itself looks amazing and you can book from either small rooms all the way to 3 bedroom suites in sem-idettached building. They have good local... More

San Mattia is on one of the hills just outside Verona. The view from there of the city are just beautiful. We sat on the terrace in the evening watched the city as the sunset The restaurant has a set menu and it's good value for money

We had booked the a room in the separate building away from the main Hotel. A 3 minute walk down the hill into a gated area was where our room was. A lovely room on the first floor with a very comfortable bed and well equipped en-suite. The cherry on the cake was the view from in front of the... More

We were given a room in the 'annex' which is 100 meters down the hill from the main building in a beautifully restored old farmhouse. This proved to be good, as it was a Sunday when we arrived and we could hear diners and partiers up at the main house late into the night. Even being slightly down the hill,... More

We had a relaxing three nights at this Agriturismo last month. San Mattia is perched on one of the hills overlooking Verona. It is the largest Agriturismo we have visited, but we weren't disappointed. The big attraction are the views. In the evening, sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine, looking down over Verona and it's hinterland was... More

Lovely farm, vineyard and agriturismos. The wines were very nice, our group was kind to translate his tour into English for us and seemed happy to do so. Lovely setting. Dinner was also very good, highlight was the Parmesan flan in a carrot cream. Other dishes were good, would have enjoyed more fresh vegetable rather than a risotto followed by... More

We stayed one night, choosing this lodging because it would offer countryside charm coupled with convenience to Verona. In the end we were more impressed with the accommodation than the city, but that was partly because the arena was closed for admission because it was staging a show. The garden and view were very pleasant, and the food in the... More
