We stayed here 4 years ago, and returned this June to attend the opera in the Arena. This time we were in the Terre Room - a beautiful room with a large and modern bathroom. Ludovica is a charming and helpful host, and staying in palazzo Gelmi makes us feel as though we are really experiencing the style and history... More

Our room here tied with one other for my favorite places to stay during our recent visit to southern Germany and northern Italy. Lodovica has taken a lot of care in creating clean, elegant and charming rooms for guests in her very old family home. While the setting is historic -- original frescoes still remain in rooms, and you can... More

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. All the amenities. Clean and comfortable. The hostess, Lodovica, is very charming and helpful. Great breakfast. Location is close to the Arena and the center of town, but my only real complaint is the noise: the room overlooks outside tables of a restaurant in a narrow street, so you hear all the noise... This is a 3 bedroom B&B near the centre of town, just on the first floor of an older style building with period decoration but because it is so convenient there is a bit of street noise from the restaurant and bars downstairs. The host Lodavica was very helpful both before and during our stay. The bed was very comfortable... More

With only one night in Verona we were looking for a place to stay fairly central to the city centre, reasonably priced and accommodate family of four adults. Searching on line for a B&B, with character, we came across this one. Right from our first communication with Lodovica she was friendly and very helpful. Over the 4 months prior to... More

I knew we were in the right spot but still had some trouble finding the Palazzo Gelmi B&B. The only indication is a small plaque by the bell push at the door. Lodovica was expecting us and very welcoming. The room was large, comfortable, filled with light and decorated with antique furniture. The bathroom was also quite large with a... More

I echo all the other kind things said about our hostess, Lodovica. She made our stay (5 family members) wonderful, and even bought two Sprite's for my daughter when she was feeling poorly. This, after she offered to walk with me to the Pharmacy! Our rooms were neat, clean, and very authentic. I loved having the balcony where you could... More

We arrived very early on the first day, and our room was already waiting for us on arrival, which was great. Lodovica was very helpful and friendly giving us advice on what to see and where to go, with maps and guide books to help us navigate Verona. The room was very big and airy, with a very art deco...
