A beautiful villa, recalling the elegance of an earlier age, but with all the modern amenities, including a swimming pool and air conditioning in the guest rooms for a sizzling hot August. A restful retreat after a fatiguing day sight-seeing. Breakfast, which includes traditional baked goods and uses local ingredients (their own hens supply the eggs), is tasty and imaginative....

Chiarastella was a welcoming host, and they served delicious breakfast. The room was very spacious, and parking is solved in the villa area. They also provides a lot brouchures and suggestions...

We had a wonderful three-day stay at Villa Sagramoso Sacchetti. The property owner and proprietor Chiarastella Sagramoso and her son Umberto could not have been more helpful and accommodating during the weeks leading up to our trip to Italy as well as during our stay in their family home, which dates back to before the Seventeenth Century. Antique furnishings and...

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights during the heat wave in July. The villa has a magnificent, elegant but not pretentious charm. It is full of family treasures and antique furniture. What makes this a unique experience is not just the quiet setting surrounded by the landscape of valpolicella but your lovely hosts Chiarastella and Umberto. Both...

This villa is set in the rural countryside of Verona, however it's close to all the vineyards and Verona itself. The villa is beautiful and the rooms quite large and comfortable. The room (penthouse) was with beautiful views. However in the hot summer months, the aircon has to work overtime. Overall a great experience with friendly hostess and host. Perhaps...

My wife and I had a wonderful 1 night stay under the care of Chiara and Ludovica on our way up to Lake Garda from Milan. The property is absolutely gorgeous with well-cared for grounds that feel as if you were transported back in time. Rooms are nice and quaint, many with good views of the Italian countryside. A wonderful 2 night experience at this beautiful Villa in Verona with great hosts & services. Only thing I wish we had a car. Two sisters run this large Villa with few rooms, as a bed & breakfast (freshly baked bread, cheeses, fresh fruit juices & jams). Must book months ahead.

2 days at Villa Sagramoso. Wonderful place, great beds, incredible house with much history "in the walls". Clean, great interiour taste, we felt like personal guests. Best hospitality by the two wonderful Sagramoso sisters. Could not ask for better service. Note that the house is 15 minutes outside of Verona 25 euro in taxi fare. This we knew. This is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This elegant, monumental, fifteenth century building stands on the flood plains on the right bank of the Adige River in a landscape full of historical importance only 8 km from the centre of Verona. From this dominant position there is a panoramic view of Valpolicella and the heights of the western area of Lessinia.Chiarastella and Ludovica Sagramoso Sacchetti have decided to bring back to life, their ancient Venetian villa, family home and focal point of their agricultural activity so that the atmosphere, traditions and flavours of the land and its past can be rediscovered and the historical heritage of our country can be appreciated. The harmonious colours of the drapery and upholstery in the suites, the classical interiors, the careful attention to detail even in the choice of bed linen, makes each room unique. The Villa is characterized by the warm, exclusive atmosphere of a private home. This care and attention can also be found in the rich breakfast served according to the season and the weather in the dining room or in the garden. Our villa is the ideal starting point to discover our beautiful land and to get to know the culture, the traditions and attractions of some of the most beautiful Italian cities. We are close to Verona, Mantova, Vicenza, Padua, Treviso, Venice, Ferrara and only 13 kms away from the well known Lake of Garda. Each corner of this wonderful area has churches, monuments, stately homes and museums to be discovered and of course a wine and food tradition with a particularly rich variety of specialities to enjoy. ... more   less
