I came with my boyfriend to Venice to celebrate my birthday , we stayed in this b&b . It was close to the train station and was easy to find . We live in Rome and we had experience with these places but for you tourists I want to tell : there is no breakfast , there is city tax...

We chose this hotel for our two nights in Venice as it was so close to Piazzale Roma, where we arrived after an easy journey by AVTO bus from the airport, and to the cruise terminal for our departure. It fulfilled that need perfectly. We only had one full day on the island and purchased a 24 hour vaporetto ticket...

We didn't know what to expect being that we've never been to a b&b before but we assumed that it would be something completely different.. Upon Arrival: We had a bit of a hard time finding it but we found our way and it was about two mins from where the buses and taxis leave you, Piazzale Roma . Next...

The place doesn't even deserve for one star... no breakfast, nor shampoo, shower gel, extremely expensive for that quality. Staff extremely unfriendly. They charged my credit card right after I booked a room (two months before arrival?!!!!!) And 14% additional cost after check-in, so called 'service '. Worse place I'be ever stay in!!!!!

We booked this place due to its location close to the train station as we did not want to walk for long around Venice with our luggage. We were very happy with our room which we were surprised to find had Kitchen facilities. Although this is a B&B you have to pay extra if you actually want breakfast but as...

it was a huge disappointment. The room was very poor. It is not a place where you would like to stay even for a night. The only positive thing is a location - close to a railway and bus station. What is important - it is B&B, but without breakfast.

Good location, value of money, close -10 minutes walking to st. Lucia train station and 5minutes walking to bus station. Nice room with canal view (just little canal view), with kitchen and shared bathroom. However, not always staff available on the reception, had to wait for half and hour till someone came to met me. you may ask to pizza...

The booking was make many weeks before and like others we relied on the pictures and description. The accommodation is clean and tidy in a flat around the corner from reception. The description of 'bed and breakfast ' is REALLY MISLEADING as their is no breakfast (only 6 pots of jam in the fridge). There are lots of 'do not'...

This is a great location, but every thing else is bad. Staff less then helpful, shearing toilets with other people is not something I enjoy.... Beds... One night was doable. I would not stay at this place again... Nothing more to say even thought tripadvisor insist on 200 words

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
