We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the train station. We had two big suitcases + 1 small one which will be abused if we rolled it through the cobblestone road & too heavy to haul onto the veperetto. The Hotel is on...More

The man from the Reception who works in the morning is very unfriendly, sarcastic, unhelpful has no common sense , the worst person I have ever dealt with. The room with 3 people has only a small fan, extremely hot. I was awake the whole...More

Hotel booked desperately last minute as couldn’t reach original booking. Very old fashioned, though clean. Terrible lighting in room. Small beds, very heavy and uncomfortable pillows, felt like concrete. Adequate breakfast and pleasant, helpful staff in the dining room. Excellent location. No lift.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby

I don't recall using one while there. Most of these small hotels have irons and ironing boards on request. Email them and ask.
