Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a single day itinerary at Venice with arrival by train & early morning flight next day .. TA experts advised staying at Piazzale Roma for ease of access to airport shuttle .. Initially I was considering Mestre & so glad TA advised me against that .. Piazzale Roma was convenient & so was CaDoge .. Property is nicer than online reviews & photos .. Location was easy to access to Venice sights .. Room was nice & bathroom was lovely .. While we didnot have major expectations since it was a conscious selection for proximity to airport shuttle at 5.30am with large bags, it turned out fine .. Reception lady was nice & explained how to access room post reception hours .. Didnt face any issue in access .. No lift so minor trouble there but were pre-informed .. Fridge, coffee maker & water in room .. Overall decent stay & no issue

Pretty spacious and comfortable hotel rooms. There is also air-conditioning in the stairwell. The hotel is close to the train and ferry station, and is easy to find. The only issue may be that it doesn't have a lift (so u have to carry ur luggage up the stairs?)

The rooms were just right for the 9 of us with kids and the hosts were great. For anyone with a vehicle this is a perfect location in Venice. They have their own parking and you literally are 100 yards from the main train station and water taxis. No lugging luggage any farther than to the front door. Their restaurant recommendation was again only yards away and after many visits to Venice this was our finest meal. In fact we ate their both nights! We help folks plan itineraries in Italy and this location in Venice will now be our number 1 recommendation.

There are numerous places one can stay at in Venezia ... but we would suggest this is THE best place. Great location (especially if you are driving a car), the facilities are very nice & clean, the food is great, and the staff is like family. We have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit many times ... and if we are blessed to have another opportunity, Ca' Doge is where we will stay!

It’s all about location with this hotel. If you are looking for an overnighter before or after a cruise this location cannot be beat. My daughter and I flew into Marco Polo airport and took a water taxi to the city. When you get off at the Piazzale Roma the hotel is right across the street. I would really refer to it as more of a B&B than a hotel. It is quite small, the stairways are narrow and there is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage this isn’t the place for you. The room wasn’t huge or fancy, but it was clean and quiet. The bathroom had only a shower, no tub. Who needs a fancy room? You’re in Venice, you won’t be in the hotel but to sleep and shower. Breakfast is included in the next building. Light fare, fruit, pastry, yogurt. Go back to the Piazzale Roma to get on the Vaparetto and see the city. Go out the front door to the left and get on the people mover for a short ride to the cruise port.

Great position for overnighter if cruising the next day. Staying here means no dragging of suit cases up and down stairs and bridges. Rooms are basic but clean with nice breakfast . Check out is midday and not 50metres away is the People Mover which costs EU1.50 to the Cruise Terminal so much cheaper than a taxi. With 12md checkout we still had time to walk to Rialto bridge and back leaving plenty time for the cruise check-in.

The room was certainly not sound proof we could hear above and next to us as well some strange noice from the air conditioning. On the positive parking is easy and the room was spacious and clean. However sleeping was difficult with all the noise
