Our trip in Venezia has been wonderful... Because of the location in the centre of the city, and the kindness of its owner. Good price, excellent location, very good breakfast, and comfortable bed! Even if we had rainy days, our trip has been shiny by...More
I selected this place based simply on location. The room, although not large, was clean, neat and tidy. The shower alcove a bit small, but this is Venice. Breakfast was adequate and was delivered to the room. The proprietor was business like and very helpful.More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

I did your same mistake...I thought every rooms in the dependance were like the one in the pic. Unlikely it is not the true....I think that is the largest one on the roof but I' m not sure. The one I booked for ( thinking it was the one) was very small and without a lot of forniture you can see in the other.

There is actually no reception desk at all, as such. We texted when we arrived and were sent a code to get into the door, so I suggest you do the same, or text at some earlier stage to explain this to them. Once we had the code everything was fine. We only saw the owner in the morning when he brought breakfast to the room, and when we were leaving. He was very nice :0)
