We stayed at Ca' Angeli after reading the reviews on this website. We were not disappointed. We booked the triple room, which was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The room itself did not have a view but everything else was so lovely it didn't matter! The staff could not have been more helpful and the breakfast was just delicious. Ca'...

We had a fabulous stay at the gorgeous Ca' Angeli. Not only is the hotel beautiful, centrally located and well appointed, but the staff were lovely - friendly, informative and very helpful. It's often difficult travelling with a baby, but the hotel and staff made our holiday in Venice such a relaxing treat. We can highly recommend the suite over...

We stayed at the Ca'Angeli in February having been to Venice several times before. We have stayed at some great places before including the very luxurious Cipriani but on our next visit we will try and secure a room at the Ca'Angeli. They not only have a great location on the Grand Canal but all the staff and owners seem...

We have recently returned from five wonderful days and nights staying at the Ca'Angeli in beautiful Venice. Our party consisted of my wife and myself, two teenage daughters and our four year old daughter and one year old son. The facilities laid on by the hotel for all of us was top class and exceeded our expectations. The rooms were...

Ca'Angeli Hotel Venice February 2006 Having stayed in several hotels in Venice we would definitely rate the Ca'Angeli as the best for the price. Great location, friendly atmosphere with lovely views of the Grand Canal from the fabulous lounge. The hotel has recently been very tastefully refurbished with nice finishing touches. However, my husband didn't want me to send this...

My husband and I stayed in Ca' Angeli for four nights and were very pleased with our stay. We liked the location in San Polo, which is very walkable to San Marco square, but away from the expensive, busy area. We are also very close to the Rialto Market, which is great to visit. Georgio and the rest of the...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
