My husband and I stayed at Corte Campana during our trip to Venice. Venice was amazaing and in no small part to our wonderful B&B host Ricardo. (We are not the only ones as the B&B is decorated with pictures guests have mailed him of their stay in Venice.) When we arrived in Venice it was a national holiday and...

The air conditioning worked very well. The bathroom was large and well maintained. Corte Campana is located in a quiet neighborhood very close to Piazza San Marco. It's...

My family had such a great time in Venice thanks to Riccardo's warm hospitality and lovely B&B. From the first second we met Riccardo, we all felt so welcome in his house. The 5 bedder room we had was spacious, clean, warm and homely. Such good value and a perfect location close to S Marco, yet very quiet. Riccardo gave...

What a find! This place is so close to everything. Ricardo, the owner is the nicest man you'll ever meet. When we arrived, we were greeted by his huge smile and energetic manor. He instantly made all of us feel comfortable and welcomed. He instantly grabbed our heaviest bags and helped carry them up the stairs. You see, Corte Campana...

Ric and Corte Campana were fantastic! We arrived in Venice and immediately got lost. We called Ric and he came to our rescue and brought us back to his lovely B&B. He is so friendly and kind. Corte Campana was a minute or so from St Mark's Plaza so it was very convenient to all the beautiful sites in Venice....

We loved our stay at Corte Campana in Venice. Venice is an expensive place to visit, but this was a great lodging value for it's very convenient location close to Piazza San Marco. It was quiet at night. Riccardo is a generous and accomodating host. He is a native Venetian and this is his childhood home. He was very helpful,...

Hi, We spent six fabulous nights in Venice this January 2010 and stayed at BB Corte Campana with our two children ages 10 & 12. It was fantastic. The room was huge and he had just bought new mattresses, which were really comfortable, and we were toasty warm. The place is impeccably clean and well maintained. He provided a computer...

Just returned froma 10 day trip to Italy. While in Venice, we stayed at Corte Campana because of all the excellent recommendations on Trip Advisor and Rick Steves' website. It was a wonderful choice. Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our friendly and charming home, Bed & Breakfast Corte Campana is located within a 480 year old Venetian palazzo and has been in the family since 1872. Just a 2 minute walk from San Marco Square in Venice, Italy. Within walking distance of Basilica San Marco, Doge's Palace, and main vaporetto stops. Our three pleasant rooms are large and can be configured for 2 - 5 guests for stays of 2 nights or more. Each room has its own non-shared Private Bathroom. The rooms are in 1700's antique style, quiet away from the noise of the street and have a nice view of a private venetian ‘corte’. We invite you to stay in our Venetian home, wake up to a Venetian Continental Breakfast, and easily explore the main sites a short distance away.
