Me and my partner stayed here for four nights, staff were very friendly and happy to help. We stayed in the Annex room which wasn't in the main hotel but in a building just behind with more rooms inside. Room was lovely clean and modern and had everything you might need , hair dryer, tv, mini fridge and safe. Room...

Staff was very helpful and friendly. We got a triple room which was enough. The room was new, looks renewed, and offered great location near Saint Mark's square (5 min walk!). Offers continental breakfast.

Had a lovely stay in this little hotel during our winter break in Venice. It is located just a few minutes walk from St Marks square, in a cute little square of it's own. It was clean, nicely decorated, and most importantly, warm! It was minus 2 degrees c on our first night, and a warm room was appreciated. All...

The hotel is in an excellent location to visit all of the attractions. It is in a little piazza close to San Marco piazza which had some excellent little cafes an bars which were very reasonable. The hotel was basic but clean and good value for money considering the location. If you are looking for somewhere to stop that is...

Arrived on Christmas Eve night and stayed for 4 days. It was the best hotel we had during our trip in Italy. Note that we were going budget as we were students but the hotel is definitely worth more than you pay for. The hotel is very convenient and easy to get to once you find your way there once....

We are really glad that we have choose this hotel. The personal is very friendly and helpful. We had a small but very comfortable and warm room, the hotel is really in the center so you are a minutes away from Rialto and St. Marco. The best choose for this price category!!!

Didn't know what to expect after a few of the reviews on here We were staying in "the annex" which people complained about because it's in a back alley behind the main hotel- we were Aware of this when we paid for the room- So no issue from me. Although it's not the best entrance to a hotel, the building...

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
