We stayed here for two nights and were very happy with the hotel. The gentleman at reception was lovely. Allowed us to check in early. As soon as we arrived we were given a map and some tips about what to do. He helped us with arranging transport to the airport as we had an early flight (difficult in Venice...

Located in a peaceful family neighborhood, this quaint hotel was a perfect choice for us. Mikaela was very attentive and ensured that we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were as advertised, nothing fancy, but more importantly clean and pleasant. We had a very nice stay. Close the the Accademia Bridge and within 15 minutes or less to Piazza San...

This hotel offers really good price value, which is rare in a touristy city like Venice. Hidden in a resident area, newly furnished and spacious rooms. You will wake up by the birds rather than the noise of the tourists. Service is super friendly although breakfast is more on the simple side- but to be fair Venice is never known...

Fourth stay in this lovely place located in the residentiel area of Dorsoduro. The hotel is very well located close to the great sites (1 vaporetto stop from St Marco) and close to the lively campos and the boardwalk of Zattere along Giudecca. We stayed with a baby in the Suite room. It is large, well equiped with a nice...

Stayed here in July. Hotel is well located. The room was very spacious and was beautiful. The bathroom was also one of the best ones we had in Italy. Staff were friendly and very helpful with directions, maps and queries. Breakfast was fine but we were expecting a larger selection. It was expensive to stay here however all hotels in...

It's a tiny hotel, very well positioned and very charming. Absolutly clean and Nicola at the reception very helpful. Venice it's a very dear city but this hotel it's a good value for the money you pay! Perfect for a romantic weekend or just to visit one of the most charming city in the world. Albergo piccolo ma delizioso. Pulito...

We stayed for one night, it was very clean, spacious bathroom, nice and helpful receptionist. Breakfast was good and enough. The location is good, very close to The Grand Canal but on the main street so you can get a good sleep:).

We were advised that staying in Venice would be expensive and that you could day trip from Padua for example. I am sure that works to see the major sites but we wanted to stay in Venice and experience the streets at night. We wanted to see 'the real Venice'. To that end we booked two nights at Ca' Del...

I booked there for three nights in August. The hotel is close to touristic places such as Academia or Plaza San Marco. It is also not far from the vapporreto station. The room is quite charming. I recommend this place.

Nice place to stay, no Internet connection in room we were staying in. Manager kindly left us unattended at the hotel reception to use the internet after hours. Rooms nice but are quite old. Service was good. Close to restaurants and public ferries.

It was a real pleasure to host you. Thank you for your review. The comments are very important for us. We are very sorry that you have had problems with the internet but our internet connection worked regularly in all rooms. In fact, on that day we have not had any complaints from other guests about this problem. Sometimes it...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
