We stayed at Locanda Ca' Le Vele in Venice and loved it. Ivan was extremely helpful in answering questions before we arrived via email, as well as when we arrived. The breakfast was delicious. Ivan was helpful with information regarding our train trip and water...More
This was a great place to stay. It is only a block off the major path and such nice accomadations. The owners (two brothers and cousin) do a fantastic job of making you feel very special. Great price, great room, great experience. Breakfast brought right...More
We were delighted with every aspect of our stay at Locanda Ca' Le Vele in October 2010. The reservation process was very smooth, and instructions on finding the hotel (not always an easy task in Venice!) were very clear. And speaking of location: this hotel...More
A small hotel with just a handful of rooms, however a true find in a wonderful area. Just a 15 minute walk to St Marks through amazing streets, shops and restaurants. Half that to Rialto and the market. It's also a blessing as you are...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

Hi there, we got the bus from the airport into Venice (basically it takes you as close as you can get to Venice by road) , from where the bus drops off it's 2 mins walk to catch the water bus to Ca D'oro stop, from where it's another 2 mins walk to the B&B. It's more straightforward than it sounds!

I did not need a hair dryer while I was there, and I cannot remember if there was one in the room so I cannot say my answer will be 100% correct, but they had everything and the staff was attending to every tiny need of mine every moment I was there. So my instinct would say yes, Im sure they have one, if not in the room, then I'm sure they'd have one to lend you!
